Description of item
The "CSM DOUBLE DRIVER ver.2" is a major update to the "CSM DOUBLE DRIVER ver.1.5" (pre-orders closed) released in December 2019, and will be commercialized with a number of new features.
The DOUBLE DRIVER body is now equipped with a new electronic gimmick. It includes the dialogue from the film by Shotaro Hidari (played by Ren Kiriyama) and Philip (played by Masaki Suda). You can enjoy the memorable exchanges and special move calls from the film.
It also includes many memorable background music, including the theme song "WBX ~W Boiled Extreme~", as well as various sound effects that enrich the transformation experience, such as the "belt fastening sound", "memory transfer sound", and "Philip falling sound". The transformation standby sound has also been changed to play from DOUBLE DRIVER itself.
In addition, DOUBLE DRIVER and Gaia Memory each have a mutual recognition function. DOUBLE DRIVER recognizes "which Gaia Memory is set," and the Gaia Memory recognizes "which slot of the driver it is set in and what the other memory is," and this creates a change in the sound.
This allows the timing of the transformation sound to change depending on whether it is inserted into the left or right slot, and also identifies the form being transformed into, and activates the unique sound effects, lines, and special move sounds associated with each form. The mutual recognition function between memory and driver is planned to be implemented in other "ver.2 drivers" released in the future.
The sculpture has also been completely redesigned to be closer to the one in the movie.
It also comes equipped with a "two in one mode" gimmick that recreates the "two-person transformation" that is the most distinctive feature of KAMEN RIDER DOUBLE 's transformation sequence. The "CSM DOUBLE DRIVER ver.2" allows the drivers to communicate with each other, making it possible to recreate the two-person transformation sequence by using two of the units.
When one driver plays the "belt fastening sound", an infrared transmission is made to the other driver, and the "belt appearance sound" is automatically activated. After that, when the Cyclone Memory is loaded, the "memory transfer sound (transmission)" is played, an infrared transmission is made, and the other driver automatically plays the "memory transfer sound (reception)", allowing you to experience the transformation scenes from the movie that were not possible with previous toys.
In addition, all the sound effects that are activated in this "two people one person mode" can be played with just the "CSM DOUBLE DRIVER ver.2". In addition, even if you combine it with the previous "CSM DOUBLE DRIVER (ver.1/ver.1.5)", you can play a pseudo memory transfer game with just the sound.
