Thank you for coming to THE HENSHIN! A look back and an update on KIVAT BELT specifications
Hello everyone, this is Funasen, in charge of CSM development.
First of all, thank you very much to everyone who attended the CSM event "THE HENSHIN" held the day before yesterday and yesterday!
We hope you enjoyed it. It was a really valuable opportunity for us to be able to interact directly with our users.
I'm sure there were many people who were unable to attend, including those who live far away, so today I'd like to take this opportunity to look back on the exhibits at the event from the perspective of a CSM representative.
But this will be later in the blog.
First, let's talk about the CSM KIVAT BELT and Tatsurot!
Starting at 2pm today, we are now accepting second-round pre-orders for shipment in May.
Starting today, we will be posting more detailed Product Information about this product on our blog that was not available on the pre-order page.
First of all, today we'll be talking about the transformation sound of the "KIVAT BELT"!
The general functions are as described on the reservation page, but the explanation focused mainly on the special functions of Kivat.
This time we will explain the various transformation sounds.
●Transformation sound and sequence
In order to recreate the entire Kiva Form transformation sequence, various sound effects have been added.
Pressing the "sound effect button" on Kivat's right ear will play the "Bloody Rose Resonance Sound" that signals the appearance of a Fangire when Watari is in the room.
If you press the "Dialogue Button" while this sound is playing, a random line from several options will be played from Kivat announcing the arrival of a Fangire.
Upon hearing that, Wataru heads to the scene. Whenever Wataru transforms, he always calls out to him, "Kivat!", and Kivat responds by saying things like, "Alright! Let's go, Kiva!"
To recreate that scene, when you call out "Kivat!" using voice recognition, it will randomly speak from a dozen different words, including "Let's go kivat!", "I'm going to kivat, you bastard!" and "Yes! Kivat and go!"
When you press the button on its head, it says "Gabu!" and several variations of this sound are recorded, and the fact that it doesn't make a consistent sound makes it feel more alive.
When you press the fangs into your hand, the transformation standby sound is activated. The standby sound includes the sound of a stained glass pattern appearing on your face and the sound of a Kibuckle appearing.
The sound of the transformation that comes from the Kivat attached to the Kivat Buckle is the full-length version that is played in the video.
Finally, we have also included a bat-like sound that plays when the O signal lights up!
Also, in the sequence often seen in the latter half of the movie where Kivat flies in and attaches himself directly to Kivakle, if you attach it to the Kivakle without it biting your hand and the transformation standby sound being played, an "abbreviated transformation sound" will be activated.
Next, let's talk about the sounds that each form transforms into.
After transforming into Kiva Form, blowing a whistle will activate the sound of each form's transformation. These transformation sounds include the complete sound sequence of "the sound of Castle Doran firing each Arms Monster, the sound of the chains wrapping around his body, and the sound of the transformation being complete."
In the film, this production was clearly depicted in almost all of the form change scenes, so although the audio is a little long, it firmly reproduces the sound from the movie.
Also, there was one scene in the film where he transformed directly into Garuru Form, and we've recreated the sound of this transformation as well!
While the transformation standby sound is playing, have Kivat hold a Garuru, Basher, or Dogga Whistle in its mouth and attach it to the Kivat Buckle to activate the "direct transformation sound for that form"!
Although the direct transformation into Basher Dogga was not shown in the film, we assumed that he would be able to transform in the same way as Garuru, so we created a new transformation sound with an added arrangement that would have a similar sound composition.
To transform into the "Dogabaki Form" in the movie, you blow three whistles in order, but if you had to load in, for example, the Garuru Whistle, and then load in the Basher Whistle while the Garuru transformation sound is playing smoothly... that would be quite a letdown.
Therefore, when transforming into Dogabaki Form, you will need to press and hold the "sound effect button" on Kivat to play Kivat's line, "Here's a special service where I'll go all out for Wataru!", which will transition him into Dogabaki standby state.
When this sound is played, even if you load the first two Whistles, the transformation sounds will not be played and only the "ring tone" will play.
Once the three loading steps are complete, the "Dogabaki Form transformation sound" will be played.
And finally, the transformation into "Kivat-Bat IV Mode".
Since Gen IV's eyes are white, the LED emits white light even when he transforms into Kiva form.
What's more, when you load each whistle, the line that comes out is "Garuru Saber!" in the voice of Gen IV, so you can have fun role NARIKIRI playing as Masao Kiba!
That's all for today's Kiva information.
Now, from here on I'd like to look back on "THE HENSHIN," but since it was a fairly voluminous exhibition, I'd like to post it in several parts.
The exhibition was divided into three sections, but today we will look at the display of past CSM models.
Once the event was decided, we began thinking about how to display the products. Usually, these types of events focus on displaying a large number of unreleased products.
However, CSM's release pace is such that there are gaps in between, and even if they were to exhibit a large number of new products, they would only be able to prepare exhibits for the past six months or so.
Therefore, most of the exhibits are already on sale.
It would not have been very interesting to simply display the things I already own like a catalogue, so I set up my booth in a "worldview exhibition" format, dividing each piece into different categories.
The aim is to surprise customers by including some unannounced items (items not yet decided on for commercialization) among the selection.
We will explain this exhibition while looking back at it through photographs.
First, the "Kiva" section! This is the main exhibit.
The booth was designed based on the room inside Castle Doran where Kiva's throne is located.
I think the booth has a very Kiba feel, with candlesticks and roses.
We actually wanted to place the belt on that chair, but we were unable to get hold of the exact same chair as in the movie, so we changed the way it was placed to make it easier to see, and that is how we ended up displaying it this time.
Next up is Kuuga!
As you can see, the regular ARCLE is placed in an ancient ruins-style interior, while the Ultimate ARCLE is placed in a snowy interior.
It's simple, but I think it has a story-like quality.
Ryuki attempts to express the mirror world.
The alternative buckle, whose official name is "V BUCKLE Alternative," has been newly designed for this event.
I felt a positive response, so someday, someday...!!
Faiz has a smart booth layout. (Just like Smart Brain)
Three belts were placed in front of each photon blood colored light.
And then the Emperor's Belt corner.
This is the only piece that does not have a pedestal and is simply placed on the floor; did anyone notice?
This recreates the scene in the movie "Paradise Lost" where the belt appears!
We paid particular attention to this booth, faithfully recreating the light filtering in from behind and the color of the floor.
These two products will also be available someday, someday!!!
Last up today is Blade!
Against a background of Orichalcum elements, we have placed BLAYBACKLE in opposition to the reference exhibits of the Garren Buckle, Garren Rouser, and Rouse Absorber.
Garren is on display as a complete set. This too will be available someday, someday...!!!
The second half of the exhibition will be featured on next week's blog.
That's all for today's blog.
The next update will be on Monday, December 16th.
Well then!
