CSG Titan Sword details released and pre-orders open today!
Hello everyone. This is Funasen, the CSM representative.
Pre-orders for "CSG Titan Sword" will finally begin today at 4pm!
First, please check the reservation page.
Total length is about 90cm! In Rising, it is a gigantic sword that is about 113cm long!
This is the difference compared to the Ultimate Holy Sword (approximately 81cm)!
It's huge! And the Rising Titan Sword...
It's too big...
I was surprised that even this big it wasn't prop size.
(There is a good reason why they are not prop-sized, which I will explain later.)
If it's this big
You can even pose like the famous "King of Arthur"! (Depending on your height, of course.)
In fact, it's quite rare to find a sword product that can be posed like this.
Neither CSM Blayrouzer nor Kaixa Blaygun could do this, nor even the Ultimate Holy Sword.
The Titan Sword has a Western-style design, so the design and pose are a perfect match.
Furthermore, the opening scene had me glued to the screen.
As you can see, Rising Titan is doing a really cool pose. If you buy it, you'll definitely do this, right?
This time, in order to improve the reproducibility of the appearance, we are using acrylic parts, which have not been used in rider NARIKIRI items until now.
This part, printed with the Lint character for "Daichi" (Earth), and the small ball on the end of the grip are made of acrylic, with a total of four parts on the front and back.
For regular products, we would use plastic materials called PC or PVC, which are used in regular products, but PC materials (the material used for the transparent parts in regular NARIKIRI) cannot be molded without hollowing out the inside, which would change the impression considerably, and PVC (the material used for the soft parts in regular NARIKIRI) does not need to be hollowed out, but depending on the thickness, shrinkage called "sink" can occur, so it cannot be used with the size of the parts this time... Also, the transparency would be a bit cloudy...
So I decided to try using acrylic, which I normally wouldn't use because of its high cost.
This allows us to reproduce the hard texture, transparency, and denseness of the contents, so I think it's a pretty good product.
Of course, the "extending sword tip gimmick" that was also included in the product at the time is still there!
When the rising parts are attached, the weight of the tip increases, making it difficult to hold, so we added die-casting inside the grip to adjust the weight balance.
(Die casting is also necessary to ensure the strength of the grip side.)
However, from the standpoint of strength and safety, we do not recommend swinging it with great force or vigor, so we ask that you handle it carefully and with care.
By the way, the grip will be a little thicker than the image on the reservation page (the sample exhibited at the recent Toy Show). (To improve the design reproduction and strength)
And here is a product that actually makes sound!
The concept is to make the size the biggest selling point, but of course, since it is a derivative toy of CSM, it does include sound.
Please rest assured that audio will continue to be included in CSG brand products.
However, there will be no background music or character voices, and the focus will be on attack and special move sounds. These gimmicks will basically be concentrated on the belt.
It will only be sound effects, but I intend to incorporate as many of the more esoteric aspects of the production as possible.
When you press the button while the sword is shortened, you will hear the sound of the sword transforming into a Titan Sword, and when the sword extends, you will hear the "shakin" sound that was used in the movie.
Pressing the button briefly produces the sound of a sword clash, and holding it down produces the sound of the special move "Calamity Titan." These are sounds that are also included in CSM ARCLE, so it's easy to imagine what they're like.
After transforming into Titan Form with ARCLE, if you don't press any buttons on ARCLE, but instead play sound on the Titan Sword, the sound will transition smoothly.
There are two buttons, but the button for extending the sword continues to function as the button for playing sound effects even after the sword is extended, so you can use that to play the sound of the sword changing into rising.
Also, if you play the sound of sword fighting repeatedly for a long time, the ``Rising precursor sound'', which was also heard in the battle scene in episode 24, will also play randomly...!
We will also work on making it a fun toy!
This time, a pedestal has been added to the product, so it can be displayed as shown in the image.
The colours and cracks are reminiscent of ancient stone monuments.
I feel like it could be used as a room decoration if placed horizontally, like a Japanese sword displayed in a Japanese-style room!
The Titan Sword's sophisticated design would look great in a Western-style room.
And this Titan Sword.
If you have two, you can recreate the dual-wielding style depicted in Kuuga's greatest episode, Episode 41 "Restraint"!
If you're a Kuuga fanatic, you should definitely consider buying both copies.
To be honest, the scene where he uses two Titan Swords is only for a moment, so why is his dual-wielding Titan Swords so memorable? It's Kuuga's mysterious charm.
After the teaser was released on June 16th, I saw that many people were considering buying both films, and it was a relief to know that I wasn't the only one who felt that way.
Midway through the development of this product, we were hit suddenly by the global situation, with rising prices and a weak yen, which made the cost of the product quite high. However, we were certain that many people would buy two bottles, so we decided to keep the price at "less than 20,000 yen including tax," which was what we had planned from the beginning of the project.
Considering the cost, this is a great value product, so please consider buying at least one bottle!
By the way...if you're a Kuuga otaku who's really pushing yourself to the limits, why not use the other stick to paint it and recreate the "Black Rising Titan Sword" that comes with the "Attachable Transformation MASKED RIDER KUUGA 6 Ultimate Form"?
As a result, this weapon has become an original one that can be equipped and transformed, but if you hold it after transforming the CSM ARCLE into its Ultimate ARCLE state, you may be able to play NARIKIRI-before-seen "Ultimate Darkness."
Furthermore, if you wrap the "CSM DECADRIVER ver.2" around it in addition to the CSM ARCLE, it will become the "Decade Kuuga Titan Form".
If you wind up the "DX ZIKU-DRIVER" and hold this, it becomes "Grand Zi-O"!
So, even if you don't have ARCLE, you can use it to play NARIKIRI a memorable rider! So please don't say you don't have ARCLE, but please give it a try!
lastly.
After the CSG brand was announced, we have received a lot of comments saying, "It's a prop-sized weapon!" However, the "CSG series" will not be commercialized in "prop-sized" products.
The reason for this is... "The legal rights to commercialize prop-sized weapons are not granted in the first place." This is a fundamental, undeniable reason that leaves no room for debate.
...But even if it were possible to commercialize it in prop size, it probably wouldn't have been done.
So, below are the reasons why we didn't make it prop-sized from a development perspective.
●The prop size is based on the size of the suit, so it is too big for a real person to hold.
This will be especially easy to understand for those who went to KAMEN RIDER Exhibition held this spring, but the prop weapons are incredibly huge.
This is because it was designed with the visual appearance of a larger human being holding it while wearing a rider suit in mind.
There are occasional scenes in the play where unmasked actors are holding weapons, and I think they look much bigger than when they are wearing a suit.
From the middle of the first Heisei period onwards, HENSHIN BELT worn by the actors are the same size as the DX HENSHIN BELT, but the prop belt attached to the transformed suit is ●●% larger than that.
That percentage is pretty much the same regardless of the work. In other words, the size converted from a living person to a rider is constant, so we calculate and subtract it from the prop size to create a size that will give the same impression when held by a living person.
The suit comes with gloves and the hands are puffy, so when you hold a prop with your bare hands it looks big in comparison.
In fact, I also took a tape measure to the KAMEN RIDER Exhibition in Nagoya and measured the size of the Titan Sword.
I did something weird like measuring the size through the acrylic, which got the staff suspicious, but the result is reflected in the product.
There were some slight differences from the official size, so we developed it based on the actual size rather than the set figures.
(The official height of the rider is over 2m, but just as there are differences between the actual suit and the official height, there are also differences between the filming props and the official height.)
If it's prop size, it may be difficult to fit it into the space at home to play with it.
The props swung around in the film are for light action, so if we were to recreate that size in a toy, it would be too heavy.
I mentioned this in my blog when I talked about Ultimate Holy Sword, but there are two types of props used in filming: those for close-ups and those for action scenes.
In the action scenes in the movie, swords are often swung lightly and made of light, soft materials for "action" use. (The Titan Sword is not swung lightly, though.)
On the other hand, toys are made of plastic. They are packed with content and require batteries, so they are quite heavy. The bigger the size, the heavier it becomes, making it more difficult to recreate the action scenes in the movie.
The Titan Sword on display at the Rider exhibition wasn't a Rising, but it is a normal sword of that size, so I think that if someone were to dual-wield a prop-sized Rising, their arm might get taken off.
Considering the balance between size and weight, I think the current size is appropriate.
That was the reason for the size.
And for those who are concerned about storage space: the size of the box has not yet been finalized, but it is planned to be approximately 95cm tall, 25cm wide, and 10cm deep.
It is long, but I think if you place it vertically like an umbrella stand and put it at the edge or corner of the room, it shouldn't be a problem in terms of space taken up.
For those who are thinking of refraining from buying one just because of space limitations, we, the developers, would like to say "That's a shame! It's fun!" We hope you will experience the excitement of holding the real thing.
So, starting at 4pm today, please support CSG Titan Sword!!
And finally, we have the "DX Buystamp Selection Demon Trooper Set"!
Pre-orders for this item also start today on PREMIUM BANDAI!
The Demons army appeared on the broadcast the day before yesterday. To be honest, the two of them before they transformed look like veteran heroes and are incredibly strong.
We hope that all fans of the characters will enjoy the fun of NARIKIRI into Jun and Naganori!
The transformation sound and animation for the Demon's Driver are in a "generic slot," so this allocation is also valuable.
We hope you will continue to enjoy the Buy Stamp series.
That's all for today's blog. The next update will be this coming Friday, July 1st.
See you next time!
