So, hello everyone. I'm in charge of KAMEN RIDER toy development.

Let's start with the Memorial GOTCHARDRIVER.
Up until now, we have released memorial versions of GOTCHAR Igniter and Alchemis Driver Unit, but this time GOTCHARDRIVER has been made into a memorial!

Here's a quick overview of the product, but please first take a look at the reservation page.
I think you can pretty much get the gist of it.

So in this blog, I will be sharing some of the finer details that are not mentioned on the reservation page.

1. An astonishing 300 different character voices!

A major feature of the memorial version is the inclusion of dialogue that allows you to remember the original story.
This time, lines from two characters, Houtarou and Fuga, are included.

Of course, Houtarou is included, but I think many people were surprised to hear "Fuga is included too!?"​
This is because, considering his important role of "entrusting GOTCHARDRIVER to Houtarou in the first episode," we felt that Fuga's lines were also necessary for this product.
Therefore, as stated on the pre-order page, only Fuga's lines from episode 1 are included.
There aren't many, less than 10, but there's no doubt that each one is an important line!

Furthermore, the Memorial Alchemis Driver Unit is packed with lines spoken by Fuga as KAMEN RIDER Wind.
Please look forward to it!


Next, let's move on to Houtarou's lines.
This time, this product is billed as "the ultimate Gatcha product NARIKIRI-playing in each form."​
The intention is to create a product that aims to "gatcha" (play to the fullest) the wide variety of form changes that are characteristic of GOTCHAR.

In keeping with this intention, Houtarou's lines are not only from famous scenes, but also include many lines that are characteristic of each of his forms.

In the image above
"What?! I've turned into a gun too!"
is a prime example of that.

You'll instantly remember the lines he says when he transforms into Bullet Butterfly Wild, and it'll also be great for playing "gun NARIKIRI playing" (?) by imagining that you've turned into a gun.

As such, the lines in this product are not only intended ​to be listened to while remembering the original story, but have also been selected with the main focus ​being to be played with while NARIKIRI into each form.

To take a similar example...

"Fully charged! Full power!"
"Cannon against cannon. Let's shoot... and have a fight!"
"A slash!"

GOTCHAR fans, can you remember which form's line this is?

Another major feature of this product is the Chemistry calling voice.
This was an element that I absolutely wanted to include when expressing the relationship between Houtarou and Kemi in a toy.

Almost every episode, he calls out to Kemi, saying "Let's go!", and after capturing her he greets her with "Nice to meet you!"​
It brings to mind a variety of "calls."

This time, a representative
"Let's go!"
"Show us your power!"
Not only that,
"Let's go!"
"Nice to meet you!"
It also includes the voiceovers from episodes 2 and 3 of Appa Rebushido.
It's a very pinpointed line, but apart from Hopper 1 and Steamliner, Appa Revue Bushido was the first to depict such polite interaction with Chemie.

Therefore, we have also included "I'm going!" and "Nice to meet you!"​

Also, the reservation page includes "Kuro-chi," which is how Houtarou usually calls him, but it also includes his official name, "Cross Wizard."​

Also available on the reservation page is "El Dragon."​
It's unlikely that Houtarou ever called out to him, but we've recorded it so that you can enjoy some imaginative NARIKIRI-playing fun.

In this way, we have expanded the range of play with the toy without being limited to the depictions in the main story, so after you have grabbed this product, you can call out to Chemi and turn your home into a new Earth!

2. Transformation sounds and sound effects from the movie included!
Isn't this the memorial edition?
This time too, we will be recording a large amount of rich audio by adding sound effects from the movie to the DX audio.
Speaking of GOTCHAR, the wide variety of form changes was impressive.
They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and their abilities vary greatly.
As I rewatched the original film in preparation for developing this product, I was once again amazed by the variety of forms and the richness of the sound variations.
We are currently working hard to develop toys that can express these ideas.

Also, some forms have the same transformation sounds as DX in the movie, or conversely, shortened sounds, so for these forms no additional sound effects will be added in the movie, and some forms will have the same sound as DX.


However, we have prepared audio like the example above that more than makes up for this.
When you receive it, please put in all the cards you have and enjoy the audio in all different forms!!

3. New cards included this time too!

Another mysterious new card has appeared.
To recap, new cards like these have appeared in the past.

These were cards with the same name as existing Chemies, but with different colors.
However, this time the illustration is completely new and different from those cards.

GOTCHAR was a work with very impressive background music.

This time, we have included four memorable songs that were played frequently during the battle scenes in the movie.

Also, unlike the Memorial Vision Zillion Driver, this time it is not a high-spec belt, but the same belt as the DX version.

The reason is that the high-spec belt for Vision Zillion did not exist at the time, so it was included with the memorial edition, but the high-spec belt for GOTCHARDRIVER has already been released separately.
(Thankfully, we have been able to expand to the third order.)

Therefore, if you would like to upgrade this product to even higher specs, we would be happy if you could use a high-spec belt that you already own.
