Pre-orders for the "CSM Amazons Driver" and "Display Base ver.2" begin today!!
Pre-orders for "CSM Amazons Driver" have started today!!
We have received such an overwhelming response that we expect the first batch of reservations to close early.
The second round of reservations will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17th.
For further details, please check the product page and the official KAMEN RIDER TOY WEB Twitter account.
We will be explaining the product's features over several posts, including today's blog, so please stay tuned.
When Amazon's Driver was being made into a CSM, I think the most desired thing was the size.
Images of the size of this product, which has been realized with a completely new design and mold, have already been released, but to clarify the size difference with the DX, as stated on the reservation page, the width of the buckle body has been increased from 17.8 cm to 20.5 cm.
Looking at the numbers alone you might think it's only 3cm, but considering the ratio it's actually quite large.
If you look at the photo of me and Taniguchi-san at the link below...
To celebrate the release of the CSM Amazons Driver! Special interviews with Tomi Fujita, voice of Yu Mizusawa, and Masashi Taniguchi, voice of Jin Takayama, and special comments from Hiroshi Asahina, voice of Atsushi Maehara
The size difference is obvious! It has the same size ratio as the "Neo Amazons Driver", so if you already have it, you can line them up without any problems.
The grip and all the silver parts between them have been remade from die-cast, so it feels great in your hand!
With the Neo Amazons Driver, only the front part of the injector was die-cast, but this time both sides of the grip are die-cast. The center part is also die-cast to make it easier to crack the egg .
That's a lie.BANDAI does not recommend cracking eggs with this product. The belt will get dirty.
Another major change is the presence of a "core part" that is not reversible.
In the movie, this core part never came off, and there were three independent belts.
And since each color was painted on the light-emitting parts, we tried to recreate that this time by splitting the core parts into multiple parts.
There is also another reason why we sought to diversify.
This is to achieve the "bloodshot luminescence" that we so desperately wanted to achieve with this CSM.
To achieve this, we needed to mount multiple LEDs on the bottom center of the belt, but if we made it a reversible core part, they would interfere with each other, so we decided to make the core part separate.
The area in the red frame below has been deleted.
The structure of the center of the belt is as shown below, with three LEDs installed in the yellow area. (The other side also has three LEDs.)
This unit emits six LEDs in a gradation pattern diagonally upwards to the left and right.
The core part for congestion has three overlapping molded parts built in to guide the LED light inside, and the congestion is expressed by gradually lighting up these parts slowly.
In the movie, this was depicted using CG, but in order to recreate it in real life, it was necessary to create a structure like this.
The reason we made the effort to separate the normal core parts from the bloodshot core parts is because the bloodshot pattern would glow even when light was emitted from the back front.
We wanted to avoid the problem of integrating it into one core part, as it would make it impossible to reproduce the normal visuals.
Also, this time only the Omega model emits bloodshot light, but there is a structural reason for this.
To achieve the hyper-luminescence of Alpha and Sigma, the LEDs must be directed from the top toward the bottom left and right. This means that the units must be placed at the top as well, but if they are placed there, it becomes difficult to attach and detach the core parts, and it becomes impossible to change the character.
If we could have made each of the three riders into a single belt, we could have changed the internal structure depending on the character, but we prioritized play value, allowing you to enjoy playing with multiple riders with just one belt.
Finally, today we'll talk about "cast voices"!
This time, we recorded the audio for the three of them transformed into the Amazon Driver.
"KAMEN RIDER Amazons" has a lot of screaming, so the recording was very intense.
In addition to memorable lines from the movie, the "Amazon!" voice is included in multiple versions that correspond to the developments in the movie.
We are currently building a system that can accommodate a variety of variations, such as shouting "Amazon!" before or after turning the grip, so please enjoy.
You can even count the number of moves Sigma makes until he's checkmated...
More details on this will be published in a later blog post.
We also interviewed the cast members, so please check them out.
Additionally, we will also be explaining on this blog about the "Display Base ver.2," which is now available for pre-order at short notice.
This product has been requested by many people, and now it's back, more powerful than ever.
With previous display bases, the size of the belt could be adjusted by attaching parts to the left and right sides, but some of them were not able to support the weight of the buckle itself, which would cause the buckle to droop.
This time, a block part has been added to support the buckle from below, and by combining parts it is possible to accommodate buckles of various shapes.
We hope you will take this opportunity to purchase multiple belts, which will make a great addition to your home decor!
That's all for today's blog.
The next update will be on Monday, July 22nd.
Well then!
