Ultraman Toy Blog vol.51 Released tomorrow, January 28th (Sat) Explaining the DX Dimensionnizer!
Happy New Year everyone!
My name is Nno, and I'm in charge of planning and developing Ultraman toys.
It's been a while since I last updated the blog, but today I'd like to introduce this item which is finally being released.
"Sound Picture Book DX Dimensionizer"
This is a new item that is compatible with Dimension Cards and will appear in "Ultraman New Generation Stars," which will start airing on Saturday, January 28th!
This is a rare item even as a toy, and as the person in charge of planning it, I have a strong attachment to it, so I would like to appeal to you about the appeal of this item from my perspective!
[Point 1] A key item that plays a major role in the show!
"Ultraman New Generation Stars," in which the Dimensionizer appears, is probably what fans think of as a program in the so-called "Chronicle" lineage, but this time the main storyline is pushed to the forefront more than ever before, and the Dimensionizer and the accompanying Golden Dimension Cards will appear in the show as important items that are central to the main story!
The key visual shows Ultraman Zero standing with a cool pose, but what kind of role will he play in the movie?
This is an unprecedented development that is unlikely to be predicted, so be sure to tune in to the show to find out!
[Point 2] It's great that it's fully compatible with dimension cards!
Now, the appeal of the "Sound Encyclopedia DX Dimensionnizer" as a product isn't just that it's an item that lets you role-play NARIKIRI appear in the movie!
It is fully compatible with all types of the "Ultra Dimension Card Series", including those that have already been released, and it is a great product that can be used as an "Ultra Sound Encyclopedia" by scanning the barcode and enjoying the unique audio data of each card!

As some of you may have noticed, the idea for this project started with the "DX Ultra Analyze Illustrated Book" that was released last year.

This product was an original toy product that corresponded to the Ultra Medals from "Ultraman Z," and was an illustrated encyclopedia item that allowed you to scan the Ultra Medal and listen to the character's audio data.
After the hugely popular "Ultra Medal Series" came to an end, this product introduced a groundbreaking linked play method that allowed players to play in a new way using the medals. After seeing positive feedback from customers who had purchased it, we thought, "We'd like to expand on this theme a bit..." and came up with the idea for the "DX Dimensionizer."
In terms of compatibility with linked items, the "Dimension Cards", which have a larger variety than the "Ultra Medals", have expanded the range of play that is possible, while also linking them to new works to increase their appeal as "NARIKIRI TOYS"!
Best of all, this Dimension Nizer is fully compatible with all types of Dimension Card series!
It can read the barcodes on each and every card perfectly and play individual audio for each one.
It goes without saying that the "Ultraman Series" has a strong affinity with illustrated encyclopedia elements, and items that allow you to hear the specs and data of Ultraman and the monsters have the excitement of taking you back to your childhood, don't they...?
I hope that you will scan each card you collect and travel back in time to when you were a child and got excited looking through the Ultra Pokédex.
[Point 3] Some cards have legendary sounds that play over and over again, making them super exciting!
Now, the following will be released at the same time as the DX Dimensionizer:
"Ultra Dimension Card EX New Generation Heroes Set 01".
"02" will be released in March, and together with the Zero card included with the Dimensionizer, there will be a total of 21 "Golden Dimension Cards."
This series features heroes from the past, mainly the new generation, housed in a shiny gold format, with a design different from previous dimension cards.
These cards are not just "redesigned" cards; they contain special secrets.
With a few exceptions, the majority of the lineup, centered around the main heroes, has had the barcodes printed on the cards replaced with new ones, allowing you to enjoy different audio than the existing cards!
To explain using the "Ultraman X" card as an example, when you scan the card included in the "DX Ultra Dimension Card 04 Dynamic Type Set" (right side of the image), pressing the right button will play "X's call (Eee, Saaaa!)". However, when you scan the "Golden Dimension Card" version (left side of the image) from Set 01, which is being released this time, the sound that plays when you press the button is
① Ozora Daichi's "X----!!"
② X's call: "Duwah!" *Different from the normal version
③ Xanadium ray charge + activation sound
The super luxurious content will change!
*What's more, ③ also includes X and Daichi shouting in unison, "Xanadium Ray!"
The audio content is almost similar to that of ULTRA REPLICA series, but this is the part where we put our heart and soul into making sure that it lives up to the title of "Sound Encyclopedia."
Personally, I think the key point is that the sounds that come with the regular version are different from those of the golden cards, so it doesn't make the regular version seem inferior, and you can enjoy different sounds.But when you get the golden card, it's a lot of fun...I think that's the balance.
The basic form systems of each Ultra Hero have sound changes that roughly correspond to this shape, so we hope you will get both the "Dimensionizer" and the "Card Set" and enjoy the sounds.
There are many other things I would like to talk about, such as how the ease of card scanning and reading accuracy have been greatly improved, and the theme that was incorporated into the design, but I have focused on the points that you should know first before the release.
