The European and American version of "Digimon Original" is a localized version of the "Digitalmonster（Digimon） ver.20th" series, which features all the Digimon that appeared in the original " Digitalmonster（Digimon） Ver.1-5" series plus more, with over 100 playable Digimon . The game's text is displayed in English, allowing players to enjoy raising, evolving, and battling Digimon just like in the original " Digitalmonster（Digimon）" series.

The "DIGIMON ORIGINAL NEW WAVE 1 PIXEL PROTEIN" features a pixel art design of protein and Gabumon printed on the front of the product, making it a fashionable item to carry around.
It also includes a program containing a special Gabumon Digi-Egg that can be obtained via communication.
