"CSMダブルドライバーver.2" and "CSMファングメモリ&エクストリームメモリver.2" Pre-Release Blog! Introducing Additional and Final Specifications!
The "CSMダブルドライバーver.2" and "CSMファングメモリ&エクストリームメモリver.2" will finally be available for delivery! In this pre-release blog post, we will introduce additional and final specifications, while also revealing some images of the final sample and content from the online instruction manual.
First, let me show you a photo of the final sample. This is what the DOUBLE DRIVER package looks like!
▼Surface
▼Back side

On the front, Double is shown striking the "Count Your Sins" pose, while the back features Heat Metal Luna Trigger. Although the DOUBLE DRIVER CSM has been released several times, this is the first time these two forms have been featured on a CSM package.
The "Fang Memory & Extreme Memory ver.2" is as follows: The front side features Cyclone Joker Extreme, and the back side features Fang Joker. Together with the DOUBLE DRIVER, the two products cover all three basic forms of Double plus two enhanced forms! It's quite a sight!

▼Back side

When you open the package and lay out the items, they look like this!

The appearance is the same as the one displayed at the " NARIKIRI WORLD 2024" event at the end of last year, and the Gaia Memory with circuit board detail parts and the DOUBLE DRIVER, which has been redesigned and painted in a heavy metallic red, look very good! As for the Fang Memory, the body color has been adjusted to the very last moment to get closer to the impression it gives in the show, and it is a metallic color that is slightly closer to silver than the one on the reservation page or the CSM Fang Memory from previous products.

Actually, there's something extra included in the Contents, and that's this "support part for removing cover parts."

To improve the appearance of this Gaia Memory, a cover part snaps onto the back of the memory, which some people may find a little difficult to remove.
In such cases, pressing this auxiliary part against the memory chip as shown in the image above should make it easier to remove. The shape is designed to resemble a memory chip as a playful touch.
Also, since they are small and easily lost, we include two with each product. You can rest assured even if you lose one!
Furthermore, the driver itself is where you'll particularly notice the improvements in this product!

The key feature of the "DOUBLE DRIVER ver.2" is undoubtedly the fact that "the DOUBLE DRIVER itself is equipped with electronic gimmicks," which allows for a variety of things that were previously impossible.
The dialogue buttons at the bottom of the belt will play lines from Shotaro and Philip's video works!

The BGM and sound effect buttons on the top of the belt allow you to play memorable background music from the show, as well as sound effects that enhance the transformation, such as the "belt attachment sound"!

The biggest improvement is that the driver and memory can communicate and recognize each other! This makes it possible to play sound effects from the driver that correspond to the currently transformed form, and to automatically play special moves corresponding to the form from the memory.
In others, it features a function where the memory recognizes the left and right slots of the driver, automatically changing the timing of the transformation sound. This means you can enjoy the interaction of transformation sounds for various imaginary forms, such as Cyclone Luna and Metal Joker, in addition to forms that are faithful to the show, like Cyclone Joker. This is fun!!

That concludes the general introduction; now we'll get to the main topic!
As a result of continuing development adjustments until the very last minute, we have incorporated many updated features since the pre-order period began. Below, we will introduce some of the key points.
First, let's look at the update points for the "CSMダブルドライバーver.2"!
■ DOUBLE DRIVER ver.2
1. Three additional background music tracks have been added!
The pre-order page listed 11 background music tracks, but we have added 3 more! The added tracks are:
"Metal Branding"
"Trial"
"Extreme Memory"
These three songs are all very memorable. "Metal Branding" was particularly memorable when it played during Joker Extreme in episode 1 and Fang Strizer in episode 16. "Trial" played during Cyclone Joker Extreme's first battle in episode 32. "Extreme Memory" was used effectively in episode 46, such as when he transforms while confronting Terror Dopant.
Each item has a maximum capacity for audio, and we decide on the audio to be included to fit within that capacity. However, we cannot confirm exactly how much audio can be included until all the audio sources are ready, so at the time of pre-orders, we inform you of the minimum amount of audio that can be included to be on the safe side.
As development progressed, we were able to free up some storage space, allowing us to add the three songs mentioned above. The final BGM list after the additions is as follows:

While there are variations, the total number of songs you can choose from is 17.
With a wide variety of background music, you can enjoy an immersive transformation play experience!
The fifth track, "Revolgarry Sortie (First Half)/(Second Half)," is designed so that pressing the BGM button briefly plays the first half, and when the BGM is in standby mode and the character transforms, the second half plays. Using this, you can recreate the transformation sequence from episode 1 (the battle against the Magma Dopant) with background music.
If you look at the transformation sequence in episode 1, after the opening of "Shutsudou Revolgarry" plays, there's an interlude with "chaka chaka chaka chaka...", and once the transformation is complete during the interlude, the second half of the background music starts playing...and this can be recreated with the DOUBLE DRIVER ver.2 by performing the same actions!
This feature enhances the NARIKIRI experience, so please try it out when you receive it.
(The 13th track will be discussed later in the section on "CSM Extreme Memory ver.2".)
2. Additional variations of the "Transform!" line have been added!
While the dialogue is primarily played through the DOUBLE DRIVER, the "Transform!" line can also be played on the memory itself. The Heat, Luna, Metal, and Trigger memories each contain one standard "Transform!" voice clip, while the Cyclone and Joker memories include four different "Transform!" voice clips.
The breakdown of the recorded lines is as follows:
① Standard version ② Episode 32 version ③ A to Z version ④ Episode 48 version
There are four types.
② is from the episode where he first transforms into Cyclone Joker Extreme, and it's a whispered "Transform." which has a very different feel from the other lines.
③ is the "Transform!" line he delivers when confronting Eternal in the final battle of " KAMEN RIDER DOUBLE FOREVER AtoZ/The Gaia Memories of Fate," and it's a more energetic line than the regular version.
④ is the strongest "Transform!" shown in episode 48. It sounds best when played after the belt plays "Here we go, Shotaro. The last..." and "Yes, the last..."

However, the lines in ②, ③, and ④ for both the Cyclone Memory and the Joker Memory are audio clips where Shotaro and Philip's lines are superimposed. This is because, during the process of extracting the audio from the video, there were no separate audio sources, making it impossible to separate the two lines. (The audio for ① was separable.)
Additionally, some of the recorded dialogue audio contains background noise that could not be removed, resulting in sounds that appear like static.
(Example) The sound of flames in the scene in episode 16 where Shotaro and Philip are talking inside the burning bookshelf of Earth.
- The ambient sound of wind when transforming on top of Futo Tower during the Eternal battle in AtoZ, etc.
We attempted to separate the ambient noise, but were unable to completely remove it. We ask for your understanding and hope you will consider it as part of the dialogue to enhance the realism of the scene.
Furthermore, regarding the selection of lines included in the recording, we consulted with all relevant parties and have included the maximum amount that is permitted to be recorded under copyright law. Please understand this in advance.
3. Sound effects have been super upgraded!
This new DOUBLE DRIVER can recognize the form you are transformed into and play unique sound effects corresponding to that form. I believe I mentioned on this blog during the pre-order period that it could play sounds like the following.
Cyclone Joker: Sound of the wind
Heat Joker: The sound of flames igniting in the fist
Heat Metal: Metal shaft is removed from the back and the sound of the shaft extending is heard.
From there, we kept upgrading the specifications during development.
Ultimately, we were able to play a large number of sound effects, as shown below!

Each form basically has four types of sounds assigned to it.
Joker-type characters can produce a variety of attack sounds depending on the form, Metal-type characters can produce attack sounds using the shaft (which changes to a whip sound in Luna Metal), and Trigger-type characters can produce gunshot sounds (which changes to a homing bullet sound in Luna Trigger), among many other sound effects! The number 0 in the table above is the first sound that plays after the transformation, and after that, the sounds 1, 2, 3... will play repeatedly.
With Cyclone Metal, you can play various sounds that have colored the series, such as the sound of Mick giving a special treat, which was key to defeating the Smilodon Dopant in episode 45, and with Heat Trigger, the sound of the point-blank shot that defeated the Nasca Dopant in episode 6, creating an immersive experience that makes you feel like you're really transforming into Double!
Also, there is one correction I made regarding the sound effects.
In the "Tell Me! Premium Bandai Promotion Team" video released on YouTube, the "transmit" and "receive" sounds for memory transfer were reversed compared to how they appear in the show (episodes 2 to the final episode). This has now been corrected to match the depiction in episode 2 onwards. (Only episode 1 had the reversed depiction, but we have changed it to match the more common depiction from episodes 2 to the final episode, which is more familiar.)
We received comments expressing your concerns, but please rest assured.
4. The transformation sound of "Naniwa's Pretty Girl Mask" has been added!
The "Naniwa Pretty Girl Mask" transformation that Akiko and Shotaro performed in episode 30 was very memorable, and this time we've included the transformation sound for that as well. You can switch the transformation sound settings using the driver, and by transforming with the Cyclone Memory or Joker Memory, the driver sends a switching signal, and the transformation sound that plays from the memory changes to the "Naniwa Pretty Girl Mask version."
This is a unique feature of "ver.2" where the driver and memory communicate with each other!
That concludes the update information for the DOUBLE DRIVER!
As mentioned above, the "driver and memory communication function" significantly expands the range of gameplay possibilities of this product. Below, we will provide some additional information to help you enjoy playing the game more comfortably.
Supplement: Regarding individual recognition systems via communication
■ Position for conducting communications
Due to the internal structure and layout, the memory and drivers can only communicate when the driver is closed. For example, after transforming into "Cyclone Joker," if you swap the Cyclone side with the Heat Memory while the driver is still open, neither the driver nor the Joker Memory will be able to recognize the Heat Memory. Therefore, if you perform the above operation, the Heat Joker will appear as "Cyclone Joker" and behave accordingly.
(This will affect the sound effects of special moves.)
Therefore, when changing the memory, please close the screwdriver first, just as in the show, before swapping the memory.
(If you swap memory modules while the driver is running, you can enable normal communication by closing and reopening the driver after swapping the modules.)
■ Time required for communication
A certain amount of time is required for the infrared communication between the driver and memory to establish properly.
This driver requires approximately 0.6 seconds for communication after being installed.
*Communication time varies depending on external factors, etc. It is not constant.
Therefore,Please wait until the "loading sound" that plays when you insert the memory into the screwdriver has finished before unfolding the screwdriver. If communication fails, close the driver, wait until the closing sound finishes, and then try deploying it again.
If communication between the memory and the driver fails, the memory with silver terminals is set to play the transformation sound when inserted into the right slot by default, and the memory with gold terminals is set to play the transformation sound when inserted into the left slot. Therefore, the transformation sounds of forms that appear in the show, such as "Cyclone Joker," can be played in the correct order.
■ About the environment in which communication takes place
Communication between the memory and drivers, as well as communication between drivers (two-player mode), is performed via infrared communication. Therefore, it may not function correctly in places affected by sunlight. Indoor play is recommended.
The same precautions apply as with past products that used infrared communication gimmicks, such as "CSM Century King Sundriver" and "CSM HENSHIN BELT TYPHOON KAMEN RIDER 50th Anniversary Memorial Set".
Please keep the above points in mind, and we hope you enjoy playing with the DOUBLE DRIVER's communication features!
That's all for now regarding the "CSMダブルドライバーver.2"! Next up is update information on the Fang Memory!
■Fang Memory ver.2
1. Additional special moves other than "Fang Strizer" have been added!
The special moves unleashed with the Fang Memory are Fang Joker's "Fang Strizer" or "Rider Twin Maximum," but this time, the memory can recognize its own form, so forms that haven't appeared in the TV series, such as Fang Trigger and Fang Metal, can also be identified in the toy.
It would sound strange if the sound of Fang Joker's exclusive move, "Fang Strizer," played while in Fang Trigger or Fang Metal form, so in this product,Each of the Fang Trigger and Fang Metal states produces its own unique special attack sound effect. This is how it's designed! Of course, there are no voice data files for the special attack catchphrases, so only sound effects are included, but we hope you'll enjoy it as an original feature of the toy.
2. Upgraded the appearance of the arm section!
We've upgraded the appearance of the arm portion of the Fang Memory from the pre-order page!
Regarding the arm portion of the Fang Memory, it looked like this on the order page and during the prototype stage:

The DX version and the CSM version released in 2014 also have similar hollowed-out sections, but looking at the CG images of the Fang Memory's Live Mode, I realized that the back is also sculpted properly, so I added parts to the back of the arms to upgrade it to a more natural look like the one below!

Those are the key points to note about the Fang Memory.
Next, let's look at the key features of Extreme Memory!
■ Extreme Memory ver.2
1. Improved accuracy of external appearance reproduction.
Regarding the Extreme Memory, the point that required adjustments right up until the last minute was "recreating the fit of the head in Live Mode." In the DX version, the head was made of soft plastic, and after closing the entire memory, the user had to manually insert the pin at the tip to recreate the beautiful bird head in Live Mode. However, this method of fixing the head resulted in the pin being clearly visible in the transformed state, which was a disadvantage in terms of appearance due to toy design constraints.

This time, we eliminated the joint and made the head out of hard plastic to improve the accuracy of the exterior design. However, if the opening and closing mechanism was as loose as in the DX version, the head would open too easily in live mode, making it difficult to close properly. Therefore, we increased the click force of the opening and closing mechanism, adjusting it so that the head always closes with strong force. This made it possible to achieve both a pinless exterior and accurate reproduction of the live mode state.
Please note that the feel of opening and closing the Extreme Memory is considerably stronger than the DX version. When opening and closing the screwdriver with this memory inserted, please use both hands.
Besides the pin area, there are many other parts where the paintwork and sculpting have been subtly changed to recreate the look from the show. If you own the DX version, please compare them when you receive it! The overall appearance has a greater sense of depth.

2. The Gold Extreme NARIKIRI has been enhanced!
This is more of an upgrade point for the DOUBLE DRIVER itself, but we've added "WBX ~W-Boiled Extreme~ (AtoZ ver.)" as the 13th BGM track for the DOUBLE DRIVER, specifically as background music for playing as Cyclone Joker Gold Extreme.
This is a "WBX" with a length inspired by the final battle in " KAMEN RIDER DOUBLE FOREVER AtoZ/The Gaia Memories of Fate". By combining it with the "Gold Extreme Transformation Sound" of the Extreme Memory, you can enjoy a more immersive NARIKIRI-playing experience, so we hope you will enjoy it when it arrives.

3. Plenty of sound effect fun!
The Extreme Memory ver.2 allows you to play sound effects inspired by the show by simply pressing the button on the memory itself.
The silver and gold terminals produce slightly different flight sounds and Philip's absorption and appearance sounds, and the fourth sound on the gold terminal side includes "Philip's appearance sound from the final episode," among others.
This is the sound effect from the final episode, a scene that thrilled fans at the time, where Philip shields Shotaro from the Energy Dopant's attack and then appears. We encourage you to try playing it yourself and enjoy it.

This concludes our lengthy introduction to the additional specifications of the "CSMダブルドライバーver.2" and "CSMファングメモリ&エクストリームメモリver.2".
The specifications introduced here are only a part of what this item offers, and there are still many more ways to play with it, so we hope you'll check the online instruction manual and have lots of fun with it once it arrives!
Okay then!
