Hello everyone. This is the KAMEN RIDER toy development team.

This blog will feature new items from the CSM Hibiki series.
"CSM変身鬼笛・音笛""CSM変身鬼弦・音錠&音枷"We'll introduce the key features of this product while showing you the prototype currently under development!

right away,"CSM変身鬼笛・音笛"This is about that!

Part 1: Transform by actually breathing into it!
The most appealing feature of this item is that you can actually transform by blowing into the sound whistle.
The sound whistle has a sensor inside the mouthpiece, so when you blow into it, it produces a distinctive whistling sound.
Currently, we are still developing the program in prototype form, but being able to produce "that flute sound" with your own breath is incredibly exhilarating, feeling just like you're playing a real flute, so we really want you to experience it for yourself!
In the main story, there are various depictions of the sound whistle, sometimes showing a mouth attached to it and sometimes not, but with this item, the sensor will still react even if you blow air into it without putting your mouth on it.

Additionally, for those who are hesitant to actually blow into the device, it's possible to produce whistle sounds and perform actions like "transformation" or "disk animal activation" simply by pressing buttons.
The sound effect will be activated by pressing the button (sound effect button 1) on the handle at the bottom of the whistle, so you can rest assured that you will be able to play the whistle while holding the handle, just like in the show.

Part Two: Includes numerous transformation sound variations!

As we've shown on the reservation page, we can recreate transformations for a variety of others scenes as well!
The transformation sounds scheduled to be recorded are as follows:

・Normal transformation
- First transformation (long version)
- Transformation without a waiting sound (This was seen in volumes 17 and 18, etc.)
- Simultaneous transformation with Hibiki in Volume 10, "The Oni Standing Side by Side"
- The simultaneous transformation of the three in Chapter 24, "Burning Crimson"

While the distinctive transformation sequences are included,
The simultaneous transformations of two or three characters are very memorable, so we decided to include them!

We highly recommend playing with this alongside "CSM変身音叉・音角" and "CSM変身鬼弦・音錠&音枷".

Part Three: The horns unfold using the same mechanism as the prop used in the film!
This product features a modified corner unfolding mechanism compared to the DX version.
While the DX version featured an automatic spring mechanism for deployment, this product eliminates the spring and uses a simple wrist-snap mechanism for deployment.
When we examined the prop used in the film for the development of this product, we found that it had that structure, and we have made this product to match it.

The benefits in terms of design resulting from discontinuing the use of springs are enormous.
In the DX version, which used a spring mechanism for transformation, the design incorporated elements derived from the spring stopper in various places on the exterior. (I believe this was done to ensure ease of play for a toy intended for ages 3 and up.)

By using a simple wrist-snap transformation mechanism, we eliminated the appearance issues caused by the gimmick mentioned above, allowing us to create a more striking facial design and other features that are closer to their appearance in the show.
Opening it like in the movie requires a bit of skill, but we prioritized achieving the same appearance as in the movie, so we hope you'll practice a lot and get the hang of it!

That's all about the sound whistle!

Next"CSM変身鬼弦・音錠&音枷"is!

Part 1: Achieving astonishing miniaturization!
The biggest hurdle in commercializing the sound lock was "reducing its size."
As anyone who has seen it in a prop display will know, the sound lock is an item that is particularly different in size from the DX version toy compared to the sound horn and sound whistle, and the actual item is surprisingly small.
When developing this product, our top priority was to reproduce the size and feel of the product as accurately as possible from the film. By cleverly positioning the batteries and buttons (as will be explained later), we were able to make it considerably smaller, and I believe it now looks very close to the version in the film.

▼Comparison of Ride Watch and GOCHIZO

Furthermore, despite these size constraints, it was necessary to implement a variety of gimmicks as described below, resulting in an internal structure that is truly crammed to the absolute limit with absolutely no room for error.
I vividly remember the designer who saw the following specifications at the beginning of item development saying, "You're kidding, right?"

● List of initial specifications planned during development
- When unfolded, the total length is 8 cm or less.
- String parts are replaceable (and must be button-type).
- The demon's face parts are also interchangeable.
- The chain parts are made of metal.
- BGM button and sound effect button included (placed as inconspicuously as possible)

As a result, this item was created that possesses the above specifications while also closely resembling the size seen in the film! Thank you to the design team!
One factor that allowed us to achieve this size is that we placed the battery compartment on the back of the bracelet. The design required three LR44 button batteries to be placed somewhere, which was the biggest obstacle to keeping the size small, but we managed to move that battery compartment to the back of the bracelet.
Due to these circumstances, there is an unavoidable thickness on the back of the bracelet portion where it shouldn't be. We hope you understand that this is a design choice made to make the lock itself as small as possible.

As a side note, we also paid special attention to the structure of the bracelet part.
The mechanism for attaching the sound lock to the arm is the same as the prop used in the film.
There were memorable scenes in episode 43 where the suit was worn, such as when Zanki transformed and when Shuki stole the sound lock, so we designed it to match those NARIKIRI in the show so that you can fully immerse yourself in the role.
Due to its design, the opening of the bracelet is narrow, which may make it a little difficult to put on at times, but we hope you will enjoy it as a "matching item used by the string wielders in the show."

Part Two: The transformation gimmick to NARIKIRI Todoroki, Zanki, and Shuki!
This item can be modified by replacing the string parts and the demon face parts.
It's possible to recreate the sound locks used by Todoroki, the sound shackles used by Zanki, and the sound locks used by Shuki (wounded version)!
Due to the constraints of miniaturizing the items mentioned above, incorporating this interchangeable gimmick was extremely difficult in both development and design. However, we felt that this was our only chance to commercialize the three generations of master and apprentice, Shuki, Zanki, and Todoroki, and we somehow managed to bring it to fruition.

The string parts are designed to be removed using the notches that appear after removing the demon's face, as shown below, achieving both ease of removal and a clean appearance.

Part Three: The chain is recreated with metal parts!
The distinctive chain portion of the sound lock is made of metal in this item.
We searched until the very last minute for a chain that closely resembled the one in the film, and we were able to find one that was even closer to the one used in the product image on the pre-order page. Therefore, we plan to use the chain shown in the image below.
If you look closely at the prop's chain, you'll see a horizontal stripe pattern, and this is close to that image.

That concludes our explanation of sound locks and sound restraints!

These two items were made possible thanks to the enthusiastic support of Hibiki fans, and we hope that this will lead to the development of future Hibiki merchandise, so we hope you will get them!
