Please check the Product Details page for the final product specifications.

Hello everyone!
I'm in charge of developing Dyno Buckler!

This time, we will be talking about the "Dino Buckler -MEMORIAL EDITION-", which is currently accepting pre-orders, and some of the appealing aspects of the product and development stories that we couldn't fit into the order page!

⚫︎Exterior

First, let's look at the appearance of the product. This time, we focused on developing it to reproduce as much as possible the Dino Buckler that appears in the movie. For that reason, we have left the screw holes on the battery cover visible on the back as they are, and the gold part in the center is reproduced with a sticker, just like in the movie and the DX! We are working hard to make it as close as possible to the color of the sticker on the gold part in the movie.

The screw hole is still used as a screw for the battery cover. The grip part also deploys with a satisfying click, making you want to click it again and again! The button to deploy the fangs is a red switch, just like in the movie.

The five medals included with the DX version were plated and were very bright and beautiful, but this time, we wanted to match the medals in the movie, so we've used a matte gold color with a slightly less shiny finish and a dirty paint finish. We are also working hard to make these colors more subdued and luxurious.

We kept the size in mind and made it the same size as the DX version of the Dino Buckler. At the time, the Dino Buckler only had one electronic sound, so a very thin speaker was enough, but in order to output various sounds like recent Sentai toys, we had to use a speaker with a certain thickness. However, due to the constraint of the size being the same as the DX version, we had a lot of trouble implementing the speaker due to the internal structure...We also had to implement new parts such as the BGM button, power switch, and detection switch, and reconfigure the internal structure and gimmicks to take these into account, and there were many other difficult challenges, but with the cooperation of the design team, we were able to implement the desired specifications in the same size as the DX version.

Regarding the batteries, in order to improve the electrical specifications for sound, light emission, various sensors, etc., two LR44 batteries like the DX version are not enough, so they have been changed to AAA batteries. I can't go into detail here, but there is a lot of technological innovation packed into this little Dyno Buckler!

⚫︎Light-emitting gimmick
The DX version at that time was equipped with four LEDs on the top, bottom, left and right of the medal set area, but this time it is equipped with 13 LEDs, which is about three times as many, to create a glowing effect!
The nine LEDs are arranged around the circumference of the medal set, creating a dynamic, arc-like glow as light leaks out from the medal, just like the lighting effects in the movie.

In the movie, just before the upper and lower parts of the Dino Buckler unfold, a crack lights up for a moment, which is recreated using the remaining four LEDs. The transformation scene in the movie is recreated using 13 LEDs!

⚫︎ NARIKIRI
We're not done yet!
To make it possible to transform into Zyuranger with a higher degree of accuracy, a new sensor has been installed that reads the movements. This means that when the buckler is pulled back into the waist, the memorable "whining" sound of the arms swinging during transformation is heard. This sound is also memorable in the transformation scene in the main story, and I was determined to include it from the beginning of development. However, it is difficult to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, and there were technical concerns that if the sensitivity is increased, it will react to unintended movements, and if the sensitivity is reduced, it will not react when you want it to. I was particularly worried about the movement from pulling the buckler back to the waist to thrusting it forward. In the movie, after pulling the buckler, the "whining" sound is heard again when the arm is thrust forward, and then the "clack" sound is heard when the buckler is rotated. In order to make this smooth, the sound of the buckler rotating is automatically played when the sensor reacts the first time. It feels like you are trying to match your movements to the sound, but since there are no malfunctions caused by the sensor, I think you will be able to NARIKIRI smoothly!

In addition, a detection switch has been added to the grip's rotation axis. This means that when you raise the grip from the buckler stored on your waist, a very memorable "keen" sound will be heard...! The Dino Buckler transformation wouldn't start without this sound! Lol

This time, we decided to add a sensor that can read the movements during transformation, and by utilizing this sensor we have also implemented the "knuckle mode" seen in episode 3, where Boy and Mei use the Dino Buckler like brass knuckles!
By gripping the Dino Buckler and thrusting your fist, an attack sound will be heard.
In this mode, you can re-enact those rare moments when two characters who had not yet acquired the legendary weapon used it as their weapon!

⚫︎Robo Appearance Mode

We have also added a new mode in which Daizyujin appears, which was not available in previous Dino Buckler versions.
The sound of Zyuranger taking out medals from the Dino Buckler after transforming and turning them into Dino Crystals is implemented! The effect of the medals acting as control levers is very cool!
The Dino Crystal is the trigger for the transformation and combination into Dino Tanker and then Daizyujin, so the combination sound is also recorded. If you have a Daizyujin toy or DXROBO UNIVERSE Daizyujin, be sure to enjoy playing the combined Dino Mission along with the combination sound coming from the Dino Buckler!

(PREMIUM BANDAI is currently accepting preorders for "DXROBO UNIVERSE Black Daizyujin"!)

⚫︎Other recorded audio

First of all, there's the startup sound when you turn it on! This is the first sound you hear when playing with this product, so it's very important, and we thought hard about what would be best. In the end, we thought it would be great if people could remember their memories of watching Zyuranger when they heard the startup sound, so we decided on the sound that plays during the scene where the show's logo lights up before the opening. It's the scene where the show's logo, which resembles a stone monument, rises up and then changes color!

And the roars of the guardian beasts are an essential part of the Dinosaur Squadron. This product is equipped with an individual transformation mode, and the roars of each guardian beast are played after transformation! From episode 11 onwards in the main story, the medals glow gold as the characters transform, and the roars of the guardian beasts are played at the same time, but the sounds are similar and difficult to distinguish. Therefore, this time, the roars of each guardian beast used in the scene where they introduce themselves in episode 1 are included. This version makes it easier to see the difference between the 5 roars, and this product has a light-emitting specification that is reminiscent of the first half of the transformation, where light leaks out from the medals up to episode 11, so we decided to use this version. Although it's just a difference in the roars, you'll definitely be able to become your favorite warrior!
