Hello everyone!
I'm in charge of development for Twin Breath -MEMORIAL EDITION-!
This time, we will be talking about the "Twin Bracelet -MEMORIAL EDITION-", which is currently accepting pre-orders, and some of the appeal of the product and behind-the-scenes stories about its development that we couldn't cover on the order page!
Appearance
The left and right braces were created with the aim of being similar to the props in the film. While there were slight differences in the coloring between the props used in the first half of the film, the DX toy, and the props used in the second half of the film, this time we decided on the coloring based on the transformation bank in the film, where the left and right braces are brought closer together, a striking transformation scene. For example, the upper frame (excluding the LEDs) was clear orange in the DX version, but we changed it to clear to reflect the image in the film! Regarding size, we took into account electrical specifications such as sufficient battery capacity to light up the full-color LEDs while playing infrared communication and background music (discussed below), and we used two AAA batteries, increasing the size. At the time, we used AAA batteries, a size rarely seen these days. The light-up and sound gimmicks are implemented in the left brace, and it looks substantial and cool when worn on the wrist!

Next up is the Light Brace. The most important thing to note about the Light Brace is that it comes with five plates! At the time, the Black Bison and Green Rhino panels could only be obtained by calling Bandai and having them mailed to you, and there were very few of them in circulation. This time, you don't have to call BANDAI directly; they're included in the set from the start, so don't worry! If you're a fan of Black Bison or Green Rhino, you can get your hands on this twin bracelet and truly become both of them.

The gimmick for inserting the plate was based on the original DX version, and we adopted a sliding mechanism. The plate is secured by a spring pressing down from below, but the sticker side is slightly lower than the black side to prevent the sticker from rubbing against the plate when it is inserted. As for the sticker, we consulted with the factory and adjusted its color, gloss, material, etc., based on the colors in the movie and the toys.

Transformation
This Memorial Edition is equipped with an infrared system on both the left and right bracelets, which reacts when the bracelets are brought close to each other.
At the time, DX toys used magnets to implement this non-contact breath reaction gimmick, but due to the limited range of the magnets, it was difficult to transform in the same poses as in the movie.By changing to an infrared transmission and reception function, it is now possible to transform by simply assuming a pose that conforms to the movie.

First, he thrusts his right arm forward. The scene in the movie where he tilts his arm 90 degrees to reveal the image of the plate on the screen is so cool it makes me shiver! We recorded the sound effects for this motion because they were very impressive among the Liveman transformations. After pressing the infrared button on the left breath and a certain amount of time has passed, the above sound will play. It feels like you're trying to match your movements to the sound, but we decided to use it. All sounds are played from the left breath.

After that, move your right arm closer to the left breath. This is done via infrared communication, so move your right arm at your own pace, shout "Liveman!" and the name of each character, and transform to your heart's content!
This time, we added another full-color LED near the infrared receiving part of the left bracelet. In the movie, light is emitted from the red part at the top of the bracelet and converges where the left and right bracelets meet, so in order to get closer to this image, we used two full-color LEDs to create an illumination that is reminiscent of the scene in the movie.

Furthermore, the light color is no longer just red, but can now be changed to match each character's image! By operating the left breath, you can select each character's mode. The light color will change to match that character. If you feel like singing on the beach, try Blue Dolphin, or if you feel like NARIKIRI Tetchan Robot, try playing as Black Bison.

⚫︎Audio
There is a lot of audio recorded, so I will explain it in detail, even though it will be a long explanation!
First of all, the transformation sounds! There are several different transformation sounds used in the movie, but we chose the most memorable ones. We've included two types of transformation sounds that often use transformation banks, as well as the sound of a transformation without a bank, where the transformation takes place while transforming into a ball of light and moving around.
In addition to the transformation sounds from the main series, the album also includes the transformation and detransformation sounds of Red Falcon as he appears in "Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai." As a Gaoranger member, the simultaneous transformation of Gaoranger and all the previous warriors, starting with Banba Sokichi's call of "Okay, everyone, let's go!", was quite a shock to me!

Next, we will introduce the voice before transformation.
First of all, there's the sound of putting on the bracelets. This is the audio from the important scene in episode 30 where Tetsuya and Junichi receive the bracelets from Yusuke. In fact, the opening of the promotional video for this product is inspired by this! I included this sound on the product with the hope that everyone who purchases it (including me) will be able to become a part of Liveman! I hope you will enjoy playing with the game from the moment you receive the Twin Bracelets from Yusuke.

Next is the communication sound. This sound was used several times before transformation in the series, including in episode 26 when Colon contacted him, and it was similar to the toy sound that was played on the original DX version. This has also been included.
And the weapon transfer sound! This is the sound of Yusuke transferring the Libraster used in episode 30. The Twin Brace lights up, followed by a beautiful sparkling sound, and the weapon is transferred to Shunsuke's hand. The Twin Brace lights up the moment the Libraster is transferred to Yusuke's right hand, so I included this sound. I was surprised to hear that the Twin Brace can be used in this way! The technological capabilities of the Science Academy are truly formidable...

In addition, many sounds after transformation are also included!
First of all, there are the attack sounds. Each character's individual attacks, such as the Falcon Saber, Dolphin Arrow, and Psycutter, are recorded, and the LED light color changes to match the image of the character. The triple bazooka is also included as a combined attack. In the movie, the triple bazooka is followed by a bi-motion buster, which overwhelms the enemy with a two-shot bazooka attack! If I were a brain beast, I'd be so scared I wouldn't even want to fight...lol
Of course, the attack sounds of the Bi-Motion Buster are also included! Everything from the impressive glowing eyes on the head at the beginning of the attack bank to the powerful beam attack sounds are all recorded. (As an aside, the Bi-Motion Buster DX toy at the time was a toy that used vibration action, which was new for Sentai up until then, and was designed to reproduce the impact of the Bi-Motion Buster in the show, requiring an impressive six AA batteries.)
The attack sound for the Spark Attack has also been recorded. It was an impressive technique for five people to attack together, so we've included it as well. In line with the flow of defeating enemies in the game, the attack sounds are currently being designed so that each time you press a button, the sounds will play in the following order: individual attack → combined technique → bi-motion buster!
Furthermore, the jump sound is also listed in the audio recording section of the order page.
Jumping sounds? ...Yes, that's the sound that was often heard in the film, such as when jumping off a cliff after announcing one's name, or when jumping on an enemy! It was used quite frequently in the film, so I'm sure many people have remembered it. When you think of Showa-era special effects, you think of jumping sounds! They're so memorable, and it's interesting how each work has its own unique sound. We've also included this sound in our recording.
Finally, we will explain about the robocall sound!
The scene where the enemy becomes gigantic and then raises its left arm to summon Machine Buffalo or a robot is very memorable, but this time we've included the sounds of Live Robo and Live Boxer deploying. In Falcon, Lion, and Dolphin mode, you'll hear the sound of Live Robo deploying, and in Bison and Rhino mode, you'll hear the sound of Live Boxer deploying. As you can see, we've included sounds that will make not only the transformation gameplay but also the gameplay after transformation more fun, so we hope you'll pick up a copy and give it a listen!

Finally, let me explain about the background music!
This time we have included two songs: "Choju Sentai Liveman (TV size)," the opening theme for the main story, and "There are Five Livemen!" Both are memorable songs that play when the characters transform. By the way, you can also play transformation games with background music, and by pressing a specific button, background music will play as the characters transform, and even the sound effects of the five characters announcing their names will play, allowing for the ultimate transformation fun! The sound effects for the name announcements have been recorded based on the audio from episode 30, the first time five characters transformed. Even the final "Choju Sentai... Liveman!! (Bam!)" explosion sound plays perfectly!!

And, actually, there are other modes that we couldn't include on the order page!
That's the original toy mode! You can switch to this mode by pressing a specific button while powering on. In this mode, sounds are reproduced based on the original DX Twin Brace toy sounds. Just like how you played with the original toy, pressing the red button or bringing the left and right bracelets close together will play a "beep beep beep" electronic sound. Whether you already own the original or not, or even if you did own it back then, we hope you'll enjoy this simulated experience of the Twin Brace from 1988!
