Introducing the CSM TYPHOON 's sound gimmick muffler!
Hello everyone. I'm Funasen, the CSM developer.
Last Saturday, ahead of the broadcast of the program, the "DX Megalodon Bi-Stamp" and "Rider Hero Series (Soft Vinyl) KAMEN RIDER Revise" were released!
Those who have gotten one will understand, but the buy stamp is huge!
It's tall and thick, and has luxurious specs including a magnet, marble molding, and a built-in infrared transmitter that works in conjunction with the belt!!!
However, just like previous "light-up! sound-making! collection items," it will be released for 1,650 yen (tax included).
While the costs of materials and labor involved in manufacturing increase every year, the selling price of these glowing, ringing items has remained the same since the Lockseeds of eight years ago, thanks to a combination of acrobatic efforts and a little bit of harakiri (self-destruction) from all those involved in development, and the desire to make them accessible to as many people as possible.
We hope that everyone will pick it up and play with it again this year. We are confident that it has turned out to be a fun toy, and we are releasing it with confidence.
Last week we started taking pre-orders for the "CSM HENSHIN BELT TYPHOON ", and we've received a lot of pre-orders, so thank you very much!!
In today's blog, we will introduce the sound gimmick of the main unit.
The buckles (energy converters) on the left and right hips of TYPHOON contain electronic components, which are connected to wires on the underside of the leather. (The wires on the back are not exposed, but hidden by soft parts.)
The energy converter on the right hip is filled with four AA batteries, so there are no gimmicks. (It's exactly the same as the old CS version.)
On the other hand, various switches and speakers are located on the left hip.
The power switch on the back can be turned on in two directions, allowing you to select either No. 1 mode or No. 2 mode for startup.
If you start the game while holding down the "Transform/Special Attack Button," it will start in "Dialogue Mode."
* "Dialogue mode": A mode in which cast voices are added to the transformation sounds and special move sounds.
When in the <pre-transformation state>, if you briefly press the "transform/special move button", the transformation sound corresponding to No. 1 or No. 2 mode will play.
If you press and hold before transforming, you can select a variation of the transformation sound. For No. 1, you can change it to the transformation sound from "KAMEN RIDER Wars."
We plan to record as many variations of the transformation sounds as possible.
Once the transformation is complete, you will be in the <Post-transformation state>.
After transforming, if you briefly press the "Transform/Special Move Button", the rider's various special move sounds will play in order. We will also record as many of these as possible.
I think it will be easier to hear the differences in sound and more enjoyable if you set this to "dialogue mode."
To end the transformation, press and hold the Transform/Special Attack button while in the <Post-transformation state> and a sound indicating the transformation is over will play and you will return to the <Pre-transformation state>.
The sound for canceling the transformation will be the same as the sound used in "Super Hero Senki."
In fact, in the TV series, there is no scene where she voluntarily detransforms, so we don't even know if there is a sound for detransforming.
There was a scene where the energy ran out and the character was released in episode 7. If there is anyone out there who remembers it, please let me know.
The switch for the "Cyclone Guidance Device" was a power switch in the old CS version.
(This time, the power switch is on the back to recreate the scene in the movie.)
When you pull the switch down, the sound of the Cyclone appearing will be heard, just like in episode 26.
The "dial" that comes with the switch does not have any gimmicks.
This is because there is a large speaker built into the back. There was no other place to put it, so we decided to put the speaker here, just like in the CS version.
I really wanted to recreate the sound of the rope being fired from the Cyclone and the "Rider Power" scene from episode 59, but I had to give up.
I would like to be able to choose whether the rope launch sound will play after the Cyclone appearance sound. (Since the number of switches is limited, we are currently considering how to do this.)
The Rider Power was recorded with Fujioka's voice acting, so I'm thinking of incorporating it into the special move sounds.
The "dialogue button" sounds different depending on whether you are in No. 1 or No. 2 mode. It's similar to the 1986 and 2008 modes of the CSM Ixabelt.
In No. 1 mode, not only the contents of the TV series are included, but also some guest appearance movies.
It's possible to give the spoiled Heisei Riders a pep talk, and it also includes lines that will make you think about life.
Please enjoy it together with the CSM SENGOKU DRIVER. (SENGOKU DRIVER was recorded when the TYPHOON plan was still blank, so I couldn't include any lines from Kouta that would allow for a confrontation...)
And the day before yesterday, we also recorded Sasaki Tsuyoshi's voice!
The shouts for the special moves were incredibly powerful, and the voice was full of spirit that made you forget his age.
I too am looking forward to the development even more now knowing that I will be able to hear the voices of those two from the belt.
We also received a comment from Sasaki-san regarding the product's commercialization, which we will introduce along with photos soon!
Fujioka and Sasaki have over 200 lines between them! (including their special move shouts)
I hope you enjoy the audio of this precious legend.
That's all for the electronic gimmicks.
Next, let's talk about the "crimson muffler"!
The elements that make up KAMEN RIDER are also featured in the theme song.
I think it's the "shining machine," "crimson muffler," "green mask," and "HENSHIN BELT."
Of course, the machine and mask cannot be commercialized, but I thought that the muffler alone could be commercialized as a bundled item, so I decided to add it to Contents. Mufflers are rarely seen in Heisei Riders, but wearing such a symbolic item other than a belt is a great way to "NARIKIRI"!
The knot is already there and sewn in so that it cannot be removed, and the part that goes around the neck can be wrapped separately and attached with Velcro.
Finally, the "HENSHIN SOUND CARD" that was on sale at KAMEN RIDER Store will be available in a new look at toy stores too!
The design has been changed and the price is now more affordable at 220 yen (tax included).
This time, characters other than their initial forms have been added, giving us a glimpse into the expansion of the series.
Some of the riders other than their initial forms even come with transformation standby sounds, adding even more value to them.
We are also planning to update the audio content for the initial form lineup that has already been released.
I hope to continue developing this product as part of the series.
It's an affordable price and you can choose the character!!! So I hope you'll pick it up without hesitation.
That's all for today's blog.
The next update will be after the Obon holidays, on Tuesday, August 17th.
Although the order of the introduction has been reversed with TYPHOON, this article is about "DEN-O BELT MOVIE EDITION," the contents of which we have not yet been able to introduce in detail.
Well then!
