MASKED RIDER KUUGA

The first product in the new brand COMPLETE STYLE GIGANTIC series, "Titan Sword", has been announced!

Hello everyone. This is Funasen, the CSM representative.

Announced today, a new brand "COMPLETE STYLE GIGANTIC" has been born out of CSM!

The first release will be the "Titan Sword" from "MASKED RIDER KUUGA"!

First of all, what is this brand? Please take a look at the brand concept below.

A NARIKIRI weapon brand for adults that creates KAMEN RIDER weapons, with their "giant size" being their biggest selling point.
It's a big weapon.

The CSM series is based around the "HENSHIN BELT" and has expanded to include items that are tied to the belt.
Among them, several "weapons" have been commercialized, but each of them has its own reason for being released under the CSM brand,

●Items included in HENSHIN BELT set/Items related to the transformation gestures
Example: Faiz Shot, Faiz Pointer, Kaixa Blaygun, Ride Booker, etc.

Items used as transformation items
Example: Diend Driver, Equalizer

- Items that can be played in conjunction with the "collection items" loaded into HENSHIN BELT
Example: Dragvisor, Braylauzer, Garrenlauzer, Tajaspinner
(Whether or not the Dragvisor can be called a weapon is a different matter.)

All of these products have been commercialized as "HENSHIN BELT (and items linked to them)" or items related to "transformation."
The Drag Visor and Brae Rouser were promoted by DX at the time as toys with a higher priority than HENSHIN BELT, so they were naturally necessary in CSM as well.
These weapons are more attractive than the others because of their rich gimmicks, but KAMEN RIDER has many more cool and wonderful weapons. These are weapons that are not linked to anything and are used solely for attacking.
Although we had long wanted to release these products to the world, it was difficult to find an opportunity to commercialize them because 1) they have fewer gimmick elements as toys compared to the items mentioned above, and 2) the number of products that can be released under the CSM brand each year is limited.
The CSM brand's top priority is always the "HENSHIN BELT." Weapons with the above characteristics have been commercialized to coincide with the release of HENSHIN BELT that is related to them, but this means that there is no chance of commercializing a standalone weapon that is not related to the belt.
However, we are aware of the evaluation and expectations for the "value in itself of size" that has been seen in the large weapons and Ultimate Holy Swords that have been released in CSM so far. Therefore, rather than selling various gimmicks like CSM, we have decided to launch a new brand separate from CSM with "the massive scale itself as its greatest selling point" to purely add to the commercialization opportunities and create an environment in which these weapons can be released, hence the launch of the "CSG" project.

Having explained this background, what specific items will be targeted for commercialization?
The lineup criteria for "CSG" will be items with the following attributes:
*Please note that none of the weapons mentioned as examples in the following text have been decided to be commercialized, but are merely used to explain this brand.

- A standalone weapon that does not work with HENSHIN BELT or collection items
Examples: Titan Sword, Shining Calibur, GX-05, Drag Saber, Tuning Fork Sword, Kabuto Kunai Gun, Ikusa Calibur, etc.

-Weapons that have transformation and combination gimmicks, and the size and shape balance change depending on the mode.
Example: Dengasher, Zerogasher, etc.

In particular, the second characteristic is something that could never be commercialized by CSM, which expects both playability from the movie and a high degree of reproduction of the appearance.
The easiest example to understand is the Dengasher; before combining, they are just the size of something that hangs from a belt, but once they are combined, the size and balance of the shape of each of the four modes all change.
It's not something that can be fixed by simply replacing parts like the CSM Ride Booker.
If we prioritize the combination mechanism and the size when attached to the belt, only the gun mode would have a similar appearance, and the sword mode and rod mode would only be slightly larger than the DX. So it's hard to proudly call it a CSM...
In order to fulfill the desire to swing the sword mode around and play with it just like in the movie, the only option is to release it as a "non-transforming product" specifically for the sword mode, which only strives to recreate the appearance of the sword mode.
The brand name that such products can carry is "CSG." Size as a weapon is given top priority.
(Of course, I think there will be demand for the Dengasher that can be combined into four types, even though it is visually incomplete and hangs from a belt. It's just a matter of where you focus your efforts.)

On the other hand...weapons that will be released under the "CSM brand" from now on will meet the conditions written at the beginning of this blog.
In particular, items that are linked to CSM collection items will be CSM.
For example, if we were to release a Musou Saber, it would be under the CSM brand because it is linked to Lockseeds.
The CSM Lockseed itself is the same size as the DX, but the blade and grip should be enlarged to match the prop balance, so it can be made into a large sword even if it is not CSG. (Like the CSM Blay Rouser and Kaixa Blay Gun.)
Furthermore, if Daidaimaru is released, it will be combined with the Musou Saber, so it will also be a CSM brand. Since weapons in the Heisei 2nd series are often linked to items, the "CSM" name is expected to become mainstream.
In addition, in the first Heisei period, Faiz Edge and Faiz Blaster are linked to the CSM Mission Memory and Faiz Phone, so they are CSM branded, and Ryuki's various Visors and Blades' Rousers are also linked to cards, so they are CSM branded. (It would be strange to release Blay Rouser and Garren Rouser in CSM and then call themselves CSG halfway through.)

In this way, we will carefully divide the products according to their characteristics and commercialize them under the most appropriate brand.
At the same time, we would like to ensure that things that are linked to collection items are not necessarily limited to CSM.
For example, if the Zanbatto Sword were made based on the CSM version of the Whistle size, even if the blade was extended, it would end up being a small sword compared to how it appears in the movie.
The Zanbatto Whistle is already included with the CSM Tatsurot, and it can be made to link with the CSM KIVAT BELT, so I'm fantasizing that it would be a good idea to release a Zanbatto Sword under the CSG brand that is not restricted by the size of the Whistle and is made bigger in every way.
When the day comes when we release the Engine Blade, we're unsure whether to release it as a CSM in a size that takes into consideration the linkage with the CSM Gaia Memory, or whether to ignore the memory linkage and release it as a CSG in a size that allows for "drag play."
Each brand has its own advantages, and what is required varies depending on the item, so I will think about it each time and plan it accordingly.
So, CSG has
- Weapons that are designed to work with "collection items", but are made without working with the collection items that come with the belt.
I think we can expand our lineup using this manufacturing method.

The launch of CSG has increased the possibility of commercializing weapons, but conversely, that doesn't mean there won't be more opportunities to commercialize weapons that fall under the CSM category above; we hope to actively commercialize both.

I've written this much, but it seems like the explanation is long and the classification is complicated!
I hope that users will feel lucky that there will be more opportunities to commercialize weapons. Whether it's CSM or CSG, the size will be large and satisfying.

We also plan to conduct a survey in the near future regarding the commercialization of CSG and CSM weapons among those who have previously purchased KAMEN RIDER products from PREMIUM BANDAI.
We will use this information as a reference for future developments, so we appreciate your cooperation.

Well, that was a super long introductory explanation, but anyway, it's the Titan Sword!
The first release is from Kuuga, the first work of the Heisei era, and features a selection of the exclusive weapons of the Titan Form, which is extremely popular among the parallel forms.
Looking at it objectively from the perspective of a manufacturer, it is a considerable challenge to commercialize a weapon that only uses a specific parallel form and has no gimmicks other than for offensive purposes in a large, expensive size, but the company gave us permission to take on the challenge with this brand, so we are now able to unveil it to you like this.
This is an item that we would love to have reach out to not only Kuuga fans and those who own the CSM ARCLE, but also those who simply want to enjoy the presence of a "big weapon."
I guarantee you'll feel a sense of satisfaction when you get it in your hands. After all, it's longer than the Ultimate Holy Sword (!?)

Product Details page for "CSG Titan Sword" will be released and pre-orders will begin on Tuesday, June 28th.
Please take a look and if you find it interesting, please make a reservation.
This is a challenge for the company, so if it sells, we can continue to develop it, and finally, your favorite rider's weapon will be made into a 3D model! It all depends on the Titan Sword, so please look forward to it!

And today, June 16th and tomorrow, June 17th, the "CSG Titan Sword" will be exhibited for the first time at the "Tokyo Toy Show 2022" to be held at the holy ground, Tokyo Big Sight!
This is the first time the toy show has been held in three years, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is still only being held as a "business fair (a venue for exhibitions and negotiations for business people)", so unfortunately only industry professionals are allowed to enter.
Unfortunately, I'm going to post photos I took yesterday while we were setting up the venue. I hope you'll enjoy these photos while you wait for June 28th.

(Please note that the exhibited product is a prototype and may differ slightly from the actual product.)

And finally, the "HENSHIN BELT DX Arc Driver" is being re-released, but the second batch also sold out quickly.
I'm sorry that we prepared less for the second round than for the first round.
We will reschedule the delivery date for the third sale, so please rest assured. It will probably be next week.

We will keep you updated on KAMEN RIDER TOY WEB Twitter account regarding the timing of the third sale, so please stay tuned.

That's all for today's blog.
The next update will be on Monday, June 20th.
See you later!
