To celebrate "Faiz Day", 5 CSM Faiz items will be produced and pre-orders for the Saiga Driver start today!
Hello everyone, this is Funasen, in charge of CSM development.
Today marks the 20th anniversary of the broadcast of "MASKED RIDER FAIZ" and also the miraculous day of May 5th, 2023, "Faiz Day"!
To celebrate this, we are pleased to announce the production of five Faiz-related CSM products.
Have a look at this!
Finally, the "Faiz Edge" and "Faiz Blaster" will be made into CSM models. They will wirelessly link with the "CSM Faiz Gear & Faiz Accel ver.2"!
For those who have pre-ordered, please look forward to the release!
In addition, it has been decided that HENSHIN BELT for the three riders who appeared in "Paradise Lost", Saiga, Ogre, and Rio Trooper will also be produced!
This means that all Faiz series rider HENSHIN BELT will be commercialized in CSM.
However, since there are many items and we also have products for other riders, it will take at least two years to complete the commercialization of all of them. We hope you will continue to support us.
And guess what...
We will start accepting reservations for the "CSM Saiga Driver" from 1pm today!
First, please check out the page below!
This model is made to the same appearance standards as the "CSM FAIZ DRIVER ver.2", and thanks to its finally being released, it has a design that is closer to the one in the movie compared to the ver.1 series.
The buckle is a different color than FAIZ DRIVER, but the bars on the left and right glow blue, so anyone who owns the DX Sciga Driver will be feeling like "Finally, it's blue!"
Changes to the phone include the mission memory, the color of the printing on the keys (the phone mark was colored in Faiz, but this time it's all white), the Smart Brain logo is black, and the screen design.
Although the screen was never shown in the movie, it is thought that just like the Faiz Phone, it will light up when you input keys, so only the "315" part in the bottom center will light up.
Unlike Faiz, the only part that lights up on the Saiga Phone is this part, and as those who had this type of phone at the time will know, when you select "103" or "106", that part moves to the front and center. So, instead of lighting up just the "103" part on the side, this time we made it so that only "315", which has a fixed design in the center, lights up.
In the case of ORGA DRIVER, since it has the same screen type as Faiz, we plan for all of it to glow.
The sound gimmick is inevitably simpler than Faiz's, but since the two transformations in the movie used different sounds for both, we made it possible to select either one. We also included sound effects unique to Saiga, such as the "flying attacker flying sound" and the "sound of Kusaka being stabbed in the heart," to give it a more Saiga-like feel.
Although it is not stated on the reservation page, since Leo is also an Orphnoch, the "Orphnoch transformation sound" will also be included.
And to top it off, we've included a brand new "ringtone"! I thought it would be a given for a mobile phone item, so I wanted to do that if we were to commercialize it.
Just to be sure, I checked with Producer Shirakura to see if it was OK, and he replied, "That's totally OK!" So I'll be creating a new ringtone that includes Ogre! I'll make it a sound that captures the retro feel of the 2003 ringtone.
It's currently in production, and we hope to make it available for listening once it's completed.
This time, all of the special move sounds are included in the Psygaphone. Unlike the Faiz Gear, this product does not come with a weapon, so you can listen to the sounds until the end as a standalone item.
As expected, we are unable to commercialize the "Flying Attacker," but depending on the reaction to the Saiga Driver, we would like to consider commercializing the "Tonfa Edge."
Just to be on the safe side, one of the special move select gimmicks will be a built-in gimmick where the sound will end with just the sound of the Photon Blood transmission, and at the same time a radio signal will be sent to the outside, so we hope to lay the groundwork for a release in later years.
Weapons tend to be large, which means higher costs, and they cannot be produced as easily as transformation items in terms of production numbers. However, we need to be able to see the volume of customers who want to commercialize them, which means the volume of customers who will buy them, in order to give the go-ahead for these types of niche items, so if you're serious about it, please speak up!
Reservations for the Saiga Driver will start at 13:00! Thank you for your cooperation.
That's all for today's blog.
It looks like it's going to be a wonderful day, as there will be an event to celebrate Faiz's 20th anniversary tonight. Be sure to rewatch Faiz today, play with the toys, and enjoy this miraculous day!
The next update is scheduled for Monday, May 8th.
Well then!
