CSM O-Medal Holder preorders start today!!!
Hello everyone. This is Funasen!
As announced last week, pre-orders for the "CSM Oh Medal Holder" have started today!
This product was not originally planned to be commercialized, but after pre-orders for OOO DRIVER began, we received a lot of feedback from users requesting an O Medal Holder, so we felt that now was the perfect time to release it and we proceeded with development at lightning speed.
This was announced today.
The concept behind this is simple: to make the design as close as possible to the prop that appears in the film.
Now, while we're at it, let's compare the DX and CSM versions with some images.
Let's start with the exterior!
First of all, the vertical size is different between the DX version and the CSM version.
The prop version is actually longer vertically. This time, we will be adjusting the mold to give the surface a glossy look.
The hinge area also has a smaller diameter.
Next, looking at the back...
There's no detail on the back at all!
In fact, the back of the prop is a simple flat design.
I didn't notice this until I watched the main story carefully, but if you're wondering, "Huh?", please go back and watch the main story.
Its simplicity actually gives it the feel of a high-end bag or notebook.
Now let's open the holder.
The first thing that catches your eye is the difference in color of the part where the medal is placed.
The CSM version is made with a metallic sheet that resembles the hairline finish of metal, based on the prop. (※It is not metal.) It has a shiny, shining look that makes it really cool!
Additionally, the notch for removing the medal is oriented in the same direction as the prop.
*The urethane is temporary.
These are the design changes for this time, but there are still some parts that do not perfectly match the props.
However, this is because we need to meet our company's safety and performance standards, so we appreciate your understanding.
For example, the locking mechanism is in one place in the center, following the example of the prop, but unlike the locking method used in the movie, it is a left-right sliding lock, just like the DX version. This is because if we didn't use this locking mechanism, the lid would open immediately if it were dropped and the medals would fly out all over the place.
Also, the hinges are thin, but unlike the prop, they have vertical streaks here and there.
This groove is a stopper that prevents the holder from opening more than 180 degrees when unfolded; without it, there was a concern that the holder would open too far when playing with it, causing stress.
As such, although it is not a perfect match, please understand that this is a measure that prioritizes functionality and safety.
The O-medals look spectacular and satisfying when lined up in a holder, and as I mentioned in my blog last week, they are also a fun item to play with in the O-scanner's "Ankh Navigate Mode", so
We would love for you to pick this up as a companion to your CSM OOO DRIVER.
With three holders, you can store all the medals that come with the CSM OOO DRIVER Complete Set. Highly recommended for collectors!
*By the way, it seems that some people misunderstood last week's blog.
Please note that the Ankh sound will not come from the O Medal Holder. The sound will come from the O Scanner.
That's all for today's update. Next week is the deadline for pre-ordering OOO DRIVER.
Don't miss out!
