Starting at 4pm today, we are accepting pre-orders for the "CSM HENSHIN BELT Double TYPHOON", a product commemorating the 50th anniversary of the birth of "KAMEN RIDER V3"!


In today's blog, Mitsuo, the developer of this product, will provide detailed specification information.
Mitsuo is in charge of CSG etc., but his favorite Rider series (unusually for someone his age, but not the Heisei Riders) are the original KAMEN RIDER and KAMEN RIDER V3, so he works on development with a love for the series.
CSM is currently being developed by a team of three people: Funasen, Mitsuo, and TK. I also check the items that the other two are in charge of, and we all work together as a team to ensure that we deliver all items with the same quality level.

My name is Mitsuo and I am in charge of CSM Double TYPHOON development.
It's been a long wait since the product was announced, but today we are finally able to announce the details and start taking pre-orders!

I would like to introduce some key points of the product.

■ Modeling and painting
The "V3" in the center of the belt has been recreated with an asymmetrical curved shape rather than a straight line, based on photographs of the props from that time and the props currently used during guest appearances.
 
The opening of the "V" is also asymmetrical, which is another point of emphasis.
 
*The obi has been removed for illustration purposes. The obi cannot be removed from the actual product.

The colors of each part have been carefully considered, and the area around the red lamp in the center of the belt is especially plated!

■ Texture
Like the "CSM HENSHIN BELT Double TYPHOON," the belt is made of genuine leather.
Furthermore, the holder for the "V3 Hopper" is also made from genuine leather, making it look just like the real thing.
*Since each piece is made from a different individual piece and part of the leather, there will be individual differences in the texture of the leather used in the product.
 

■Light-up gimmick
As for the light-up gimmick, in order to recreate the thinness of the belt body and the size of the props, which are characteristic of the Double TYPHOON, the surrounding LEDs are illuminated (the LED arrangement is similar to that of the CSM ARCLE).
 

Initially, we were considering a Versalight Transformation Belt, just like the "CSM HENSHIN BELT TYPHOON", but
① Compared to the "TYPHOON" turbine, the "Double TYPHOON" turbine has a larger blade area, and there is no space to install a versal lighter in the gaps.

② Even if it was installed, it would be difficult to create an effective effect like "TYPHOON" (the transformation bank animation in the movie ends with a flash from the center of the screen, so even if Versalighters were placed on the left and right, the same effect could not be achieved).

3) The belt becomes quite thick.

For this reason, the current specification is that the windmills on the left and right glow red.
It will be designed to glow red and spin, just like the Poppy HENSHIN BELT at the time, but the shape of the wings is not a rotating bank, but rather reproduces the visual of the wings being wound before and after the transformation, and the LEDs emitting light from the outer circumference make it look like the entire rotating surface is glowing and spinning. I think that this has made it possible to fulfill the image of the prop in both appearance and light emission.

Since I didn't need to make the belt thicker, I was able to make it almost the same thickness as the prop (see image below).

Therefore, the feel and size of the product are just like the real thing!

■ Newly recorded audio
This time, we had Miyauchi Hiroshi record a new scene.
Like the CSM TYPHOON, there is a normal mode and a dialogue mode, and in the dialogue mode, when it transforms the call of "Transform, Buisuryaaa!" is of course heard!
It also includes a wide variety of special move sounds after transformation, and the names of the moves are newly recorded.

The names of the special moves are also included.
Example) V3 Spin Full Kick / V3 Full Spin Kick
V3 Tornado Kick / Deadly Tornado Kick
All of these details are included, including the subtle differences.

Furthermore, the one that did not appear in the play
The following attack techniques from "V3 26 Secrets" also have audio recordings.

・Redbone Ring
・Freezer Shot
・Propeller chop
・V3 Thunder
・V3 Fire Pillar Kick

These sound effects are being created from scratch, partially using sound effects from other special moves, while retaining the feel of the original sound effects.

There are many other lines from Miyauchi included in the video, and you can play them in order using the line buttons.
The contents are sure to give you a sense of the commemoration of this 50th anniversary product, so please look forward to it!

■Other

The "switch" on the buckle is designed to play the "O Signal" sound effect when moved upwards, as seen in the scene in episode 6, "The Hammer Jellyfish Appears! Unleash V3's Special Move!!".
Furthermore, as seen in episode 37, "The Mysterious Temple: The Curse of the Flying Squirrel Tribe!", by operating the up and down buttons it is possible to activate a "Reverse Double TYPHOON."​
Of course, there is no function that would make it impossible to transform for three hours after use, as it consumes a large amount of transformation energy after use.

Furthermore, with the "V3 Hopper," you can play the sounds of the "V3 Hopper" and "Scramble Hopper" by pressing the button on the side.
If you press and hold the button while turning the power switch ON, the device will start up in dialogue mode.
Here, Miyauchi will shout out a call before the sound of the shot being released, so just like with the belt, you can enjoy it with or without the call!
