In today's blog, we will be introducing all the CSM-related information for MASKED RIDER FAIZ!
I'll introduce these three items in order!

① CSM Faiz Edge
First up, TK, the developer, will introduce our latest product, which starts accepting pre-orders today!

Hello everyone. I'm TK, the developer of CSM Faiz Edge.
Pre-orders for "CSM Faiz Edge" started today at 4pm!


Below are some highlights.
①Impressivesize with a total length of approximately 82 cm!
This product has an impressive size of 82cm in length!
It is the same scale as the Kaixa Blaygun that came with the "CSM Kaixa Gear" released in 2018, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the movie by placing the two side by side.

If you look at the props used in the film, the Faiz Edge has the same blade shape as the Kaixa Blaygun.
We have further refined the details of the CSM Kaixa Blaygun, and modified the shape to make it closer to the prop in the movie.
As a result, none of the molds from the CSM Kaixa Blaygun were reused, and it is a completely new design and mold.

The texture of the product has also been significantly improved from CSM Kaixa Blaygun.
In the Kaixa Blaygun, all of the black parts were molded in the same color, but in the CSM Faiz Edge, almost all of the black parts are painted in a semi-gloss black paint.
(Excluding movable parts that cannot be painted.)
The shape is designed to match the paint texture of "CSM Faiz Gear & Faiz Accel ver.2".
In addition, it makes extensive use of metal parts that were not found on the Blaygun; the lever (power throttle) is made entirely from die-cast parts, and the silver part above it (lever adjuster) is made from machined aluminum.
This makes it an impressive item not only in terms of its size, but also in terms of the heavy metal texture.
 

② Equipped with 44 LEDs, twice as many as the Kaixa Blaygun!
This product is equipped with 44 LEDs, twice as many as the CSM Kaixa Blaygun!
The reason for doubling the number of LEDs is to improve visibility when illuminated.
When the CSM Kaixa Blaygun was lit up, dark areas appeared between the LEDs, creating a striped appearance, but this product emits light without any stripes or unevenness!


*The reason the light from the tip of the Faiz Edge is so bright is because it is a prototype.
This will be improved in the retail version.

There is one more design point to ensure even light emission.
The LED board is positioned further back than the CSM Kaixa Blaygun.
If the LED is placed in front, the graininess of the LED will be emphasized when it emits light, resulting in stripes and uneven light emission, but with this product, we have placed it further back, which achieves vivid light emission.
The CSM Kaixa Blaygun's blade can be detached to recreate "blade mode" and "gun mode," so it was necessary to insert a separate battery into the blade.
The background to this development was that it was difficult to place the LED board deep inside in order to secure space for the battery.
With this product, the blade cannot be removed from the grip, which allows space to be secured inside the blade, enabling the LED board to be placed deep inside, resulting in a vivid glow.
The grip of the Faiz Edge without the blade appeared in Paradise Lost, but since we gave up on recreating that, we focused all our efforts on the luminescence.
By the way, there is another reason why I gave up on removing the blade.
This is because, during the design stage, it became clear that there was not enough space in the grip to insert and remove the blade, and that to make it possible to attach and remove the blade, the grip design would have to be made a size larger.
The Kaixa Blaygun's clever design successfully provided space for the locking mechanism, but the Faiz Edge's blade extends in a straight line from a thin tube around the grip, so to include an attachment/detachment enclosure and locking mechanism would simply require the grip tube to be made a size larger.
Doing so would make the blade appear too thin, which would make the design look odd.
I hope you understand that these practical issues made this impossible.

3. Wireless communication gimmick with "CSM Faiz Gear ver.2"!
This product will link wirelessly with FAIZ DRIVER and Faiz Accel from the "CSM Faiz Gear & Faiz Accel ver.2"!
By pressing the ENTER button on the Faiz Phone after transforming, a radio signal is sent from the Faiz Phone, which is received by the CSM Faiz Edge, allowing it to unleash the special move "Sparkle Cut", just like in the movie.
Also, when the special move is completed, a radio signal is transmitted from the CSM Faiz Edge and the "Φ Mark" is projected by the projector included with the "CSM Faiz Gear ver.2".
It is possible to faithfully recreate the sequence in which Scarab Orphnoch and Armadillo Orphnoch were defeated in the movie, so if you have already pre-ordered "CSM Faiz Gear ver.2", we recommend you get this as well!
It can also receive signals from CSM Faiz Accel ver.2.
When linked with CSM Faiz Accel ver.2, the CSM Faiz Edge will also begin a 10-second measurement, allowing it to unleash special moves continuously for 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds have elapsed, an explosion sound and the sound of an Orphnoch turning to ashes will automatically play, and the projector will light up wirelessly.

Above are just some of the specifications.
We are currently developing the figure so that it can recreate various scenes of Faiz Edge 's exploits, such as the Exceed Charge that sliced through Saiga's torso in one stroke in the fight in "Paradise Lost," the activation of the Mission Memory without it being loaded as seen in episode 8, and the loading of the Mission Memory just before a special move, so please look forward to it!
*This product does not support wireless communication with the "CSM Faiz Gear" and "CSM FAIZ DRIVER" released in 2016, or the "CSM Faiz Accel" released in 2017. This is because the wireless module used at that time has been discontinued.

4. All gameplay possible without wireless communication!
However, even if you don't own "CSM Faiz Gear & Faiz Accel ver.2", you can still play all of the included content!
This product is equipped with a "solo play mode", which does not require a wireless signal from the "FAIZ DRIVER ver.2" or "Faiz Accel ver.2".
By operating the Faiz Edge only, it is possible to play the special move sounds from "Exceed Charge!" onwards in succession.
The multiple variations of special moves mentioned in point ③ above can also be selected by operating the Faiz Edge, so you can play with the CSM Faiz Edge alone without any functional limitations.
In other words, even if you only own the "CSM Faiz Gear (ver.1)" released in 2016, you can still enjoy everything about the Faiz Edge, so we hope that even those who missed out on "ver.2" will pick it up.

⑤ Equipped with Decade mode!
It will also feature a "Decade Mode" that will recreate the slashing and special move sounds from "MASKED RIDER DECADE"!
In the battle scenes of "MASKED RIDER DECADE," when the Faiz Edge is used, the slashing and special attack sounds are different from those in "MASKED RIDER FAIZ," and "Decade Mode" is a mode that reproduces the sounds from that time.
This sound was the slashing sound of the "DX Faiz Edge" when it was released in 2003.
(The various voices of the Legend Riders in Decade were mostly made from DX toy sound sources still available at BANDAI, probably because they couldn't extract the voice data. The slashing sound of the Blazer also came from a DX toy.)
Even in Decade Mode, it is possible to switch between a mode that wirelessly links with the "CSM Faiz Gear ver.2" and a "standalone mode" that does not wirelessly link, so both those who have the "CSM Faiz Gear ver.2" and those who don't can enjoy "Decade Mode"!

⑥The mission memory comes in a clear material version!
This product comes with a mission memory (clear material version)!
There are multiple variations of the Mission Memory props that appear in the film, some of which are made from clear material and some that are not.
"CSM Faiz Gear" has consistently used die-cast mission memory since version 1, which was a toy-like decision that took into account the texture of the object.
This product has a "solo play mode" and is designed so that you can play with the special moves even if you only buy this product, so it was necessary to include the mission memory separately.
So, in an effort to create something different and valuable, we created a clear material version of the memory.
Of course, it is possible to attach this to the CSM Faiz Phone!

However, although clear materials are used, the prop is made of solid (solid) clear parts with no hollowing out (acrylic??), while the toy is made of plastic, so it cannot be made like the prop, and is designed with a realistic structure in mind, such as hollowing out, so it is not a 100% reproduction of the clear material version of the prop. Please be aware of this point.

⑦And even more linking gimmicks…!
This product not only works with "CSM Faiz Gear & Faiz Edge ver.2", but also...
​It also has a wireless link function with the "CSM FAIZ DRIVER NEXT," whose commercialization was announced on August 28th!
In the teaser visual for "Paradise Regained," KAMEN RIDER Rider Next Faiz is holding the Faiz Edge, but since he is using it as a weapon, there is a built-in linking gimmick!

In addition, a prototype of this product is currently on display at the NARIKIRI WORLD STORE in Ikebukuro Sunshine City!
It's a spectacular display with brilliant lighting, so be sure to check it out!

② CSM FAIZ DRIVER NEXT
The teaser was released the other day, but this year at "NARIKIRI WORLD", there will be a CSM product launch and pre-orders will start for KAMEN RIDER Rider NEXT Faiz's HENSHIN BELT, "FAIZ DRIVER NEXT"!

Details about this mysterious belt will be announced before the release of the V-Cinema.
Although there is a difference between the work and the timing, just as we used an event to announce products for "KAMEN RIDER BLACK SUN" last year, we would like to use the event to unveil our efforts for these new riders.
However, since the work has not yet been released, we will not reveal all of the functions. We will also not give away any spoilers about the work's story.
After the work is released, we plan to add information about the belt's unrevealed gimmicks.
Furthermore, we will start accepting reservations from the day of the event, but of course the order period will be set to extend until after the movie's release, so please rest assured about that as well.
In addition, although reservations will begin early, the delivery month is set to be significantly later than the normal CSM delivery span.
For those who purchase with a credit card, the actual withdrawal will occur around that time, so even if you are wondering whether to buy Faiz Edge or the Edge, there is no need to worry as there will be no problem if you just pick up the Edge first!
In addition! I'll just say it, the CSM Faiz series will continue with the rest of the series after the V-Cinema Faiz. (We can't put too much emphasis on Faiz.) The Faiz Blaster, Auger Driver, and Smart Buckle are scheduled to be released after FAIZ DRIVER NEXT, so we have a plan to gradually release them over a fairly long period of time.
So, for those of you who are worried that "Ogre might come soon, so should I give up on Faiz Edge...", I can assure you that, in terms of timing alone, there is absolutely no problem in picking up Faiz Edge now, so please do give Faiz Edge a try first!

③ CSM Faiz Gear & Faiz Accel ver.2

In fact, one of the reasons for this delay, just like Faiz Edge above...
A wireless communication gimmick has been decided between the "CSM FAIZ DRIVER NEXT" and the "Faiz Shot," "Faiz Pointer," and "Projector" that come with this product!
With this positive reason in mind, we have incorporated mechanisms that will allow the CSM Faiz toy series to have more depth and be enjoyed by the whole team!
Since the teaser shows him holding the Faiz Edge, that naturally means he can also use moves like the Faiz Shot.
We are currently working on the simultaneous development of the entire CSM Faiz series, including these adjustments.
Although the release has been postponed, we are working on making it possible for you to enjoy the game for a long time to come, so we hope you will look forward to it for a little while longer.

Also, today we had planned to provide a detailed introduction to the additional gimmicks of the "CSM Faiz Gear & Faiz Accel ver.2", but the entire article ended up being longer than expected, so we will update the blog again tomorrow!
