MASKED RIDER KABUTO

KABUTOZECTER 's Special Features

Due to the snow, the junior sitting next to me is currently barefoot.
Hello, this is YS.

We have previously told you about the special features of each model, from the first edition's DOUBLE DRIVER to the fourth edition's Lost Driver. For the first time in a while, we'll take a look back at the CSM series so far and introduce the special features we've paid particular attention to.

This time, it's the fifth installment, the "COMPLETE SELECTION MODIFICATION KABUTOZECTER" (= CSM KABUTOZECTER).
KABUTOZECTER has added many new features, such as clocking up, kabuto treads, bellows belts, and die-cast horns, but I would like to focus on one aspect that may be pointed out as being strange, namely the "horn retention power" that comes from making the horns out of die-cast.

By making the horns out of die-cast, the weight of the horns became more than twice that of the DX version, which resulted in various problems.
The CSM series uses the same mold as the DX version, and was not originally designed to withstand that weight, so when it was attached to the waist and you shook your waist or lifted it up and turned it over slightly, the problem of the horns rising up could not be fixed, and it was really difficult to hold the horns in place.
We didn't give up until the very last moment, and after much trial and error with the design staff and the factory, we finally arrived at a satisfactory specification that meant the corners wouldn't come up even when you moved your hips or lifted it, and was not too stiff to operate.

Thanks to this, we were able to recreate the weight of KABUTOZECTER and the realistic feel it gives when you hold its horns during transformation.
I would like to continue using die-cast materials for the CSM series.

notice!
Flyers for the Mask Collection Legacy, which is closing soon, will be distributed at the Super Hero Festival, so if you're going, be sure to check it out.
I'm going to YS on the 20th too. I'm so excited!!

The next blog will be updated on Monday, January 25th.
See you later!
