MASKED RIDER KABUTO

Greetings from the new person in charge

Nice to meet you all!
Starting this April, I'll be taking over from YS as the person in charge of planning and development for the CSM series. My name is Funasen!

I've been buying HENSHIN BELT ever since MASKED RIDER KUUGA before I joined the company.
I am honored to be taking on this series, which is a remake of the legendary belts of the past, and feel a sense of transformation.
We will not forget the perspective of each user and fan, and will strive to deliver products that will satisfy all our users by focusing on "what we can do and create now."
We look forward to your continued support!

Well, that's enough of a brief statement of my intentions. Going forward, I would like to gradually touch on new information about the Hopper Zecter, which I'm sure you are all curious about, in this blog.

This time, we'll be talking about the Hopper Zecter's transformation and special move sounds!
In commercializing the Hopper Zecter, we have reviewed not only the appearance but also the sound to ensure it matches the image in the movie.

Change 1: Hopper Zecter attachment sound
In the DX version at the time, when you attached the Zecter to the buckle, a "thud" sound was heard followed by the word "henshin" (can you get that?), but this sound wasn't actually used in the TV series; in the footage it said "click" followed by "henshin".
This time, the sound of putting it on has been changed to a "click" sound to match the sound in the movie.

This is the moment.
*The image is a prototype.

Change 2: Lever operation sound, Rider jump, Rider kick
In the DX version at the time, when performing a special move, the "lever operation sound" of "Gachakyuuweeeeeeen" would play completely, followed by the sound of "Rider Jump", "Rider Kick" or "Rider Punch", but in the game, the lever operation sound and the system voice were played together as "Gachakyuuwee (Rider Jump)". (Can you understand that...??)
It's a pretty minor detail, but this time we adjusted the audio to match this timing.
When you actually try it out, you'll find that the sound has a more rhythmic and better tempo, which will heighten your excitement when you unleash your special move!

When you lift the lever, "Rider Jump!"

Change 3: Zecter bounce sound
A distinctive feature of the Kabuto series is that when transforming, a Zecter appears automatically, and the character grabs it to transform.
The Hopper Zecter was no exception, and the grasshopper-shaped Zecter came hopping around making a buzzing noise.
The DX version also had the bouncing sounds and cries, but when you moved the lever up and down in Zecter mode, it would only play one of the two sounds at random.

In making this CSM, we wanted to recreate the "hopping Hopper Zecter," so when you pull down the lever it makes four jumping sounds and two chirping sounds.
In onomatopoeia, it's "byon byon byoin, kyuin, kyuin." (Does that make sense...?)

If you hold it like this and move it while the sound is playing, the Hopper Zecter seems to have a will of its own!

Change 4: Added worm explosion sound
We have added a new feature that was not available in the previous CSM Kabuto series: the "worm explosion sound"!
Remember when worms had their own explosion sound?
When a worm was defeated, there was always a unique high-pitched explosion sound, like "BOOM! KYUN KYUN KYUN KYUN!", along with a green explosion smoke.
This time, this sound will be played after the special move sound of the Rider Kick and Rider Punch. Sorry for all the onomatopoeia...

The above four are the major changes in terms of so-called "system sounds."
These improvements have been made to allow you to enjoy gameplay that is closer to that in the movie!
Additionally, by adding the as yet unreleased secret audio of Yaguruma & Kageyama, you can enjoy even more realistic sound effects, but this will be revealed next time!

So, the next update will be on Monday, April 10th.
I would like to share new information about the Hopper Zecter's "Yaguruma/Kageyama Voice" as well as the "Neo Amazons Driver," which will begin taking pre-orders on April 6th.

Well then!
