Introducing the unique gimmicks of the CSM EXA BELT past mode!

Hello everyone. This is Funasen, the CSM representative.

In today's blog, I would like to provide a detailed introduction to the gimmicks of the CSM EXA Belt's "Past Mode."
Before that, let's introduce new characters and toys from "KAMEN RIDER ZERO-ONE"! (This information has already been released.)

This weekend, on Saturday, June 13th, Related products for KAMEN RIDER ZERO-ONE 's strongest form, KAMEN RIDER Zero-Two, will be released all at once!!

As the program is currently airing a "special compilation," it will be some time before Zero Two actually appears, but the merchandise will be released ahead of her appearance on the program.
We hope you enjoy playing with the toys first, and then look forward to the arrival of the main character, Zero Two.

First up, DX NARIKIRI items
"DX Zero Two Progrise Key & Zero Two Driver Unit"!!

By removing the sliding part of the Zero-One Driver and attaching this unit, you will enter a mode that activates the "hidden voice" built into the Zero-One Driver.
When the cover, featuring a cool design of the number "2," is deployed, a sensor on the driver's body reacts and a transformation standby sound is played.
The standby sound has also been completely revamped from Zero-One, with a gorgeous melody ringing out along with the system voice "Let's give you power."
The Progrise Key deploys with the push of a button, just like the Amazing Caucasian Key, and the sound of "Zero Two jump!" is activated.
When placed on the belt, the cover slides and the sound of the transformation plays, "Zero Two rises!"
A video of the transformation sound, which has a strong rhyming sound of "two," using the actual toy has been released on the official KAMEN RIDER TOY WEB Web Twitter ahead of the release, so if you can't wait until the weekend, be sure to check it out.

Her special move is "Zero Two Big Bang"!! It's a name that sounds incredibly powerful.
As with previous years' final PU items, it also includes the voice of the main character, Aruto.

What's more, the belt itself will be powered up this time, so luxury products that come as a set with the Zero-One Driver will also be released!
"HENSHIN BELT DX HIDEN ZERO-ONE DRIVER & Zero Two Progrise Key & Zero Two Driver Unit"!!

If you don't have the belt yet, you can experience Zero-One's evolution all at once here.

There are two figures.
"RKF KAMEN RIDER Zero-Two" and soft vinyl "Rider Hero Series 12 KAMEN RIDER Zero-Two"!

The visual of this strongest form has a simplicity that has rarely been seen in previous riders.
But it's cool because it feels like an upgraded OS! I'm looking forward to seeing it in action!
*Please note that only RKF will be released on Saturday, June 27th.

That's all about Zero Two!

Now, let us introduce the gimmick of the "Past Mode" Ixa Knuckle of the "CSM Ixa Belt"!

① You can switch between normal mode and voice mode (with Otoya's voice)
Just like the "Modern Mode" explained last time, when you first turn the power on, in addition to turning it on normally, you can also "hold down the dialogue button and turn the power on to the 1986 side" to start up in "Otoya Voice Mode."
In this mode, Otoya's shouts are added to each attack sound, special move sound, etc.

② Ixa Knuckle function before transformation

Pressing the trigger briefly plays the "shock wave sound," pressing and holding the trigger plays the "start-up sound," pressing the dialogue button briefly plays "Otoya's dialogue," and pressing the center button briefly plays the "transformation standby sound," all of which are the same as the modern mode we explained last week. The dialogue skip function is the same.
Some of the audio has been changed to a past mode version with a lower pitch.

So, what is the unique function of this "Past Mode"?

By pressing and holding the "Dialogue Button", you can make the following selections!
If you press and hold the button, the standby sound will play multiple times, just like when you operate the BGM standby function.

(Do not press the dialogue button) ⇒ Normal transformation. After about 100 seconds, a "warning sound" will be sent to the belt. After another 73 seconds, a "forced transformation cancellation sound" will be sent to the belt.
*The "warning sound" and "forced transformation cancellation sound" will sound from the belt side. (To avoid timing discrepancies with the excessive flashing of the LED)
*The time until the "forced transformation cancellation sound" is played has been changed to approximately 73 seconds to match the timing of the BGM.
To recreate Jiro Ikusa, we shortened the gap between the "warning sound" and the background music "Packed House" that plays, so that the transformation does not end before the music finishes.

(Long press of dialogue button 1) ⇒ This will enter a mode in which the above-mentioned "warning sound" and "forced transformation cancellation sound" due to time limits will not be activated.

(Long press the dialogue button 2) ⇒ Otoya's last transformation mode (episode 46) will be activated. (There will be a time limit "warning sound" and "forced transformation cancellation sound")
It will be possible to recreate the scene at the beginning of episode 46, where Otoya transforms into the final Ikusa with the determination to die before King.
When you press the center button in this mode, a beep will sound, but the transformation standby sound will not be played.
When you release the button, you will hear the "Jack!" sound that was played when Otoya thrust his knuckles forward.
So you can have fun recreating the scene by holding down the center button, saying "Transform...", then releasing the button and sticking out your knuckles.
Furthermore, if you switch it to the voice mode explained in ①, when you press the center button, not only will you hear the "beep" sound, but you'll also hear Otoya's line, "Transform...", so the voice reproduction of Otoya is perfect.
It's even better if you press the dialogue button just before to play "I have... this..."!
By the way, since the movie went straight to the opening after this, there was no depiction of the transformation scene, so the transformation sound itself is the same as a normal one.

③ Ixa Knuckle function while waiting to transform

Even during the transformation standby tone, the behavior is basically the same as in modern mode.
A gimmick that was also present in modern mode, where when the standby tone is played immediately after a specific line and the line "Transform" that is played when the line button is pressed, changes, is still present here.
Normally, Otoya says "Transform" in a relaxed manner, as is typical of him, but after certain lines, he changes to a quiet, determined "Transform..." or a powerful "Transform!"

④ Ixa Knuckle function after transformation

Even after transforming, basic behavior is the same as in modern mode, but pressing and holding the dialogue button changes the character to the "Rising EXA state" in modern mode, but this has been changed for past mode.

By pressing and holding it, you can voluntarily play a "warning sound" or "forced transformation cancellation sound" before the set time is up!
This operation is important if you want to hear something immediately or if you want to play damage at the tempo you imagine.
By the way, this operation will still work even if you press and hold the dialogue button before transforming to set the "no warning sound mode," so I think it's designed to be easy to play.

⑤ The sound of the whistle
When loading each whistle, only the "knuckle whistle" will play a sound effect, all other whistles will play an "error sound."
This is to faithfully reproduce the setting that in the past, Ixa only had Knuckle Whistles (no other Whistles had been developed).
*In past mode, when you push the knuckle in or remove it from the belt, a spark sound will be heard.

Although it is not possible to play with it in an original way as a toy, we have focused on making it fun to play with as a knuckle whistle.
There are two types of special moves using the Knuckle Whistle!

The first one is a reproduction of the sound Otoya made when he transformed for the first time.
Load the whistle and remove the knuckle while it goes "I-I-K-S-T-A-K-L-R-I-Z-UP."
After this sound plays, there will be silence, but by pressing the trigger, the special move sound will be activated.
In the movie, this behavior of silence after the whistle loading sound was often seen.

The second one is a recreation of the special move that Ikusa the Second Wolf used when he first transformed.
Similarly, it loads a Whistle and plays "I'm gonna go!", but if you keep holding down the trigger when this sound finishes playing, instead of silence, the "attack standby sound" will play.
If you press the trigger again during the standby sound, the "Jiro Ikusa special move sound" will be activated.
I'm pretty sure the behavior with the special move standby sound was only shown in episode 11.
This is a special move with non-mainstream behavior, but since there is only one corresponding Whistle, we added it in order to increase its value.

That being said, even in modern mode, Ixa Knuckle still has two types of special moves.
Nago Ikusa has never used the Ikusa Knuckle special move, but since it is a high-level system, I thought it would be useful, so I included it.
The special move standby sound has also been changed to modern standards.

That's all for today's blog.
The next update will be on Monday, June 15th.
Next time we'll be featuring the Equalizer! See you!
