CSM ALTERING, pre-order deadline today! Back details revealed
Hello everyone. This is Funasen.
Today, March 23rd, is the deadline for pre-ordering CSM ALTERING!
Two months seems to have flown by in a flash. Before you know it, it will be the 30th anniversary. It's scary. But it will be a happy occasion.
As I ALTERING in last week's blog, at this point in time there is almost no new information about Altering in terms of the gimmick.
So today, I'd like to twist my brain and provide some additional information about the exterior.
It's all about the details on the back!
This is the back design of the CSM ALTERING! Here we go!!!
It's so messy...!!
Unlike ARCLE, it has various switches and the like, so it may feel that way even more, but we've included details that are specific to ALTERING.
When you look at it as a three-dimensional object, the texture becomes clear and you should be able to see it without any problems.
There is no official back design for ALTERING.
The DX version had the details on the front reversed, but there were also copyright notices in the center, and if we had used those as is there would have been a lot of blank space, so we created them from scratch specifically for this toy.
The design was based on the "Wiseman Monolith (Philosopher's Stone)" located in the center of Agito's chest.
The interior has some fine detailing similar to the clear parts of ALTERING.
This is even more evident in the Shining Form, with the detail extending to both sides of the chest.
This time, I used the details of the Monolith and Shining Form as reference and created a design that spreads out from the center.
While incorporating this design, ALTERING, unlike ARCLE, has various switches on the back of the belt.
I think the most eye-catching feature is the battery box.
ALTERING uses six AA batteries, and just like ARCLE, two are placed on each side of the waist, and the remaining two are placed in the center of the belt.
The slit in the center is for dissipating heat from the white LED. Because white light is intense and can heat up easily, there is a hole behind the LED module for dissipating heat.
When you wear the belt, you may feel heat on your stomach, but don't worry, it won't get so hot that you'll want to take it off.
Below that is the power switch and a left/right switch marked with the "Agito mark" and "DX."
It has two types of power switches that allow you to switch between the mode that recreates the sound from the movie and the DX transformation sound reproduction mode, and is designed the same as ARCLE.
What's different about this ARCLE is that it has a separate "power switch for the white LED."
The AA batteries have separate functions, one to power the white LED and one to power the entire unit, and the white LED will not work unless it is turned on.
When turned ON, the white LED does not stay on all the time; the timing of when the LED lights up is controlled by a program on the main unit.
When playing, please remember to turn on the two power switches.
And at the very bottom is the switch that recognizes when the Dragon's Nail is attached.
Dragon's Nail is not attached with magnets like ARCLE, but instead has two claws that hook onto the top and a joint at the bottom that snaps into place on the back.
The joint on the lower side is attached in the same way as the cover parts of the old Complete Selection version of ARCLE.
Since most of the surface of ALTERING is made up of clear and painted parts, there was no place to put a magnet, so I made it like this.
The detection location for the DX version of ALTERING was at the bottom on the front side, but if it was in the same place, unlike ARCLE, part of the gold would be easily noticeable as a switch, ruining the appearance, and the gold paint would peel off if it was removed and attached repeatedly, so we decided not to do this.
The image below shows the back of the belt after the Dragon's Nail has been attached (the Dragon's Nail part is in red). It snaps into place near the switch at the bottom, and then presses the detection switch.
Compared to ARCLE, installation is more difficult, but this is the result of prioritizing the quality of the appearance.
The reservation deadline for this detailed ALTERING is today at 11pm, so please consider purchasing it so you don't regret it later!!!
That's all for today.
The next blog will be on March 30th.
See you next week!!
