KAMEN RIDER Development Blog

Pre-orders for the CSM HENSHIN BELT TYPHOON will begin on August 4th!

Hello everyone. I'm Funasen, the CSM developer.

There was an announcement today!
KAMEN RIDER 50th Anniversary Merchandise
Reservations for the "CSM HENSHIN BELT TYPHOON KAMEN RIDER 50th Anniversary Special Set" will start on Wednesday, August 4, 2021!

We can't reveal any details yet, so please continue to look forward to it until that day!
We are currently developing this wonderful product, which will be the culmination of our efforts to celebrate this 50th anniversary.

Now, here's some more information about the CSM Zeronos Belt!

●Added sound effects when you hold the ticket over the screen and the Imagine picture appears!
We have decided to record additional sound effects for when the Imagine picture and date appear when the subscriber holds the blank ticket up to them.
This will be in addition to the sounds that can be played by pressing the special move button before transformation, but the order of the sounds here will also be different from what was written in the previous blog and will be in the order below.
① Imagine Possession Sound
② Imagine departure sound
③ Ticket waving sound
④ Zero Liner running sound
⑤ Clock sound

① and ② are two complete episodes, and the audio from the first half is of Yuto and Deneb getting all commotional.
③ is the sound that plays when flying to the past in the second part. And ④ will follow as the Zero Liner sound that plays when flying to the past.
And then the sound of adult Sakurai's clock as he arrives at the past,⑤.
So you can experience the flow of the first and second parts.

●Added the Altair Form transformation sound from episode 35, "Tragic Resurrection Card Zero"!
Yuto was given a card by adult Sakurai. The transformation scene was different from the others. This will also be selectable.
The sound of a clock will play from the transformation standby sound stage, and when you insert the card you will hear only the voice of "Altair Form" and then the sound of the clock stopping.
Then, thunder! This is the sound that reproduces the series of effects.
Try recreating this thrilling scene that shows Yuto's determination!

The deadline for preordering the Zeronos Belt is next week on July 27th.
We look forward to your continued reservations.

Next up, we'll introduce you to the mass-produced sample of the "CSM Lockseed Team Baron Set," which will start shipping next week!
It turned out like this.

The paint colors of the three Lockseeds have been adjusted to match the props, and the banana is a fairly bright meta yellow.
The color of the sticker on the open Walnut Lockseed was quite different between the DX and prop versions, so we changed the design to match the prop.

And making its first appearance this time is the Energy Lockseed.
This is the color of the CSM after removing the glitter to match the suit prop.

As a developer, I think we've managed to achieve a very beautiful product that doesn't look cheap, and has good color and clarity.
The only way to get an accurate idea of the color is to see it in person, not in a photo. Please wait for it to arrive next week.
The open lid has also been painted to match the prop.
In particular, the Pine Cone Energy Lockseed is different from other Energy Lockseeds in that both the suit prop and the actor prop were painted metallic up to the hinge parts, giving it the appearance seen in the photo.
The LED light emitted by the CSM Energy Lockseed appears to be weaker than that of the DX, but this is due to a change in the mechanism to eliminate the central locking joint that was present on the DX.

Finally, the shape of the battery cover on the back of the Lockseed will be changed from this Baron set onwards as shown below.

There is a reason for this: we found that this structure allows for greater volume when the belt is in place.

The Lockseed for the CSM SENGOKU DRIVER and Charmon Set was designed so that the back would match the prop, resulting in the lid design shown on the left in the image. However, after the product was released, when we had a meeting with all of our internal staff to review the product, evaluate it, and identify areas for improvement, we discovered, albeit accidentally, that the design on the right of the image made a louder sound when passed through the slit in the body of SENGOKU DRIVER.

SENGOKU DRIVER is designed in such a way that it has to be attached in a way that covers the Lockseed's speaker, making it HENSHIN BELT with the quietest volume of all the previous HENSHIN BELT.
So when we were developing the CSM version, we decided that we definitely had to improve this, and by improving the electronic area, we made it so that the transformation sound is clearer and louder than the DX version.
Even at the Lockseed level up to the Charmon set, the transformation sound is louder than the DX version.
But now that I realized it could be done even better, I couldn't just turn a blind eye.
(By the way, when the Lockseed is in its own state before transformation, the volume is controlled to be close to that of the DX, and once the belt is fastened, the volume is programmed to reach its maximum. Since the transformation pose often involves unlocking the lock close to the face, the volume is kept low to avoid ear pain.)

Considering it as a collector's item, we considered leaving the shape of the back the same, but after careful consideration we decided to modify the shape to increase the volume, so we stopped the mold mid-way and made the modifications.
As a toy, we wanted to be able to enjoy a powerful transformation sound, and we wanted the sound to be a little louder so that it wouldn't be drowned out by the background music of the main unit.

If someone says to me, "You should have realized this sooner and done that from the very first product!" I agree, and I feel really frustrated.
We also apologize to those for whom collectability is a top priority.
Just as the CSM Kaixa Gear was able to evolve thanks to the CSM Faiz Gear, we are continuing to research within the same series and working to make it evolve even better.
We will continue to make these shape changes so that future Lockseeds, including the Kureshima set, will be even more enjoyable items, so we appreciate your continued support.

Finally, we will introduce two Saber products that are currently accepting pre-orders on PREMIUM BANDAI on the blog!
●"DX Omniforce & Grimoire Wonder Ride Book + Dooms Driver Buckle"!

This is a belt that can transform into Master Logos' KAMEN RIDER Solomon and the next KAMEN RIDER Rider, Storius.
The biggest feature is that you can transform using just the belt alone.
We hope you will add this to your collection as the villain's HENSHIN BELT that will accompany Saber's final battle.
It will arrive after the program ends, but that's ok. (It can't be helped.)
Since the weapon, Caladbolg, is not used in the transformation, there are currently no plans to commercialize it, but that's okay.
...No, it's not good at all! If you think so, we would appreciate it if you would pre-order this product first.
This is the same as with the Friendship Burst, but depending on the volume of pre-orders for this transformation item, we may be able to see the possibility of commercializing it.

●"DX Super Hero Senki Wonder Ride Book"!!

This item allows you to transform into KAMEN RIDER SABER Super Hero Senki, a character from the movie Super Hero Senki, which will be released the day after tomorrow.
Sentai and Rider collaboration items have come out every year, starting with Decade's Rekka Daizantou card and OOO's Ranger Keys, and now we've finally reached a point where the hero suits themselves incorporate elements of the two biggest heroes!
Please go see the movie this week and then make your reservation!

That's all for today's blog.
The next update will be on Tuesday, July 27th.

Well then!
