Only 3 days left until the theatrical release of "KAMEN RIDER OOO 10th: Resurrection of the Core Medal"!
Ahead of the release, the first batch (shipped in September) of CSM OOO DRIVER ver. 10th (complete version/regular version) has reached its production capacity limit, so reservations closed yesterday and we have started accepting reservations for the second batch (shipped in November) from today!
Due to the need to consolidate manufacturing dates, all five products, including the Auscanner alone, the Lost Blaze set, and the holder, have been moved to the second stage.
The deadline remains April 26th (May 26th for holders only), but please note that all products will be delivered in November.
We have also delayed the blog update by one day to announce the start of the second round.




In today's blog, we will introduce some of the gimmicks of the Oscanner ver. 10th.

● Audio variation selection function



In recent years in CSM, the same transformation sound can be reproduced by implementing a selection function that can be activated by pressing and holding a button, which changes depending on the episode.
This is also implemented this time, but it was also implemented in the previous CSM.
・The scan completion sound will change to the Tatoba Combo sound from the final episode (Medagabryu's voice)
・For Foundation X-made medals, the scan sound for Tatoba Combo in Heisei Generations FINAL changes to the Core Medal sound
We've made it possible to instantly reproduce these changes by selecting them with a long press of a button.
In the previous game, the gimmick was that if you scanned a medal after playing a specific cast voice before the final episode or in Heisei Generations, the above sound changes would occur, but unfortunately the path to playing the lines was long and time-consuming.
There weren't many buttons so that was the only option.

This time, we've increased the number of sound effect buttons and can distribute the functions, so instead of playing a specific line, you can play the above by "holding down the button to select." (The lines are no longer relevant, but a line skip function has been added.)
Changed the scan completion sound to Medagabru when selecting for the first time
On the second selection, the scan sound for Foundation X medals has been changed from cell to core.
In order to increase versatility in gameplay, the scan sounds for Foundation X-made medals can now be changed to Core Medals scan sounds for all types, not just Hawk, Tiger, and Grasshopper.
Furthermore, this change in the scan sound is not limited to Foundation X-made medals,
- To recreate Lost Blaze, the scanning sounds of Ptera, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus can be changed from Core to Cell.
This gimmick can be changed in the second selection, just like Foundation X.
In the Lost Blaze special move sequence in the final episode, the sound made when scanning the Taja Spinner was the same as the scanning sound for the Cell Medal.
It may seem like an editing mistake, but I was convinced that this sound was also a part of the special technique, Lost Blaze! So I made it possible to choose the scan sound, just like with Foundation X-made medals.




● Changed the sound when scanning the "Cracked Hawk" alone


With the new Auscanner ver. 10th, when scanning this medal alone, the sound that plays has been changed from Ankh's "Taka!" to Kushida's "Taka!"
In terms of playing with toys, you could say that this change narrows the range of play.
The reason I did this was because, while playing the previous game, CSM, I realized that the fact that Ankh's voice would be triggered by just this medal alone was extremely systemic and mechanical. (Well, it is a machine after all.)

The Ankh Voice in the final episode croaks, "Hawk! Peacock! Condor!", an expression of his final feelings, and is a voice that could only be heard as Tajadol transforms.
In the previous CSM, for example, when you transform by inserting medals in a combination like "Cracked Hawk, Mantis, and Cheetah," the sound "Hawk! (Ankh) Mantis! Cheetah!" would sound, and I realized that this was a pretty cruel thing to do, as it reduced the cry of Ankh's soul to the operation of a mechanical system. The same thing would happen if you put a Cracked Hawk into the Taja Spinner.
Therefore, in this work, we have changed the specification so that "when scanned alone, Kushida's voice will be played just like a normal Taka, and it will change to Ankh's voice only when the Tajadol Combo transformation sound is played."​

On the other hand, the previous model, the Ausscanner, can be used in the ways described above, so I think it will still have its own value as a toy.
As for the 2018 edition, as a developer I would be grateful if those who have it would treasure it for many years to come.

Today we have another product to introduce. The "HENSHIN ACTION CASE FAIZ DRIVER" will be available for preorder on PREMIUM BANDAI from Friday, February 25th.



Following the well-received first release, the "HIDEN ZERO-ONE DRIVER," the second release is the mobile phone-defining "FAIZ DRIVER"!
This time, the developer of the HENSHIN ACTION CASE will introduce us to the key points of the product!

The first point of emphasis is the shape and details.
Just like the first release, the Rider design team has taken the design data from the "COMPLETE SELECTION MODIFICATION FAIZ DRIVER" and, while retaining the fine details, created a new design to fit the HENSHIN ACTION CASE!





As a result, the quality of the fine details is comparable to that of CSM.
Other additions include the "Fine Mark" and "SMART BRAIN" designs, adding Faiz elements throughout.





The product size is designed to be approximately 95% of the size of the CSM FAIZ DRIVER, so it is almost the same size as the CSM.
However, we have made it thin so that it is easy to carry around.



Secondly, there is the transformation action gimmick.

As the name suggests, this is a case that allows for transformation actions, and this time it is equipped with a transformation action to defeat Faiz Phone, and click parts have been introduced so that you get that "click!" feeling every time you defeat Faiz Phone!
Defeat Faiz Phone and enjoy the transformation action anytime, anywhere, and as many times as you want!



The third is the included limited edition HENSHIN SOUND CARD!

First of all, when I started thinking about what kind of sound card to get, there were already two types of FAIZ DRIVER sound cards on sale, so I struggled with how to differentiate them from the one that comes with this product.
As a result, we decided to focus on Orphnoch, a popular enemy of Faiz, and add Orphnoch to the card design and transformation sound!

For convenience, the official HENSHIN SOUND CARD website can only play connected sounds, so the transformation sounds are designed to play in the following order: "FAIZ DRIVER transformation sound" → "Orphnoch transformation sound."
Please listen to the actual transformation sound when you receive the product!
The belt images on the site are also Orphnoch style, so look forward to it!


Finally, regarding compatible devices.

When we started taking pre-orders for Zero-One Driver, we limited it to iPhone models only, but we received a lot of feedback from our customers saying, "Is it not compatible with Android?"
This time! We have adjusted the specifications to make it compatible with some Android models, although not all of them! (Please check the product page for details)

(The aspect ratio of a smartphone and a flip phone is completely different, so if you were to make a case just for the phone, the design balance would probably be completely off.)
