CSM KABUTOZECTER ver.1.5 to be released! Pre-orders start tomorrow!
Hello everyone. This is Funasen, the CSM representative.
It was also announced in Japan today.
"CSM KABUTOZECTER ver.1.5" to be commercialized!
And what's more, reservations will start tomorrow, December 7th (Tuesday) at 4pm!
Those of you who are savvy about toy news may already know this, but pre-orders for this product started being accepted overseas at the end of October.
It was also quietly exhibited at the event "NARIKIRI WORLD" held in October.
(The name card next to KABUTOZECTER simply said ver. 1.5, so I think many people didn't notice.)
This is the first renewed release in eight years since the release of version 1!
This product seems abrupt. That's because it was not originally planned to be sold in Japan.
The original CSM was only sold in a limited number of countries overseas, but now that CSM is becoming increasingly popular, especially in Asia, there has been talk of us wanting to sell the original games, so we decided to release KABUTOZECTER overseas.
However, when it comes to re-releasing it in 2022, it would be too poor to just leave the previous audio (mostly DX) as it was, so we decided to upgrade the audio in line with CSM's current values and remake it as "ver.1.5".
This means that we have no choice but to sell it in Japan, so although it will be a little later than overseas, we would like to start accepting pre-orders from tomorrow.
So, let's take a quick look at the specifications!
It's best to watch the PV rather than read the text, so if you haven't seen it yet, please check it out first.
To explain it in words,
●The Masked Form transformation sounds, Rider Form transformation sounds, and special move sounds are all recorded to be more faithful to the sounds found in the movie!
The transformation sounds for Masked Form include the sound of the armor being generated, for Rider Form the sound of the armor floating up when cast-off, and for special moves the sound of a worm exploding. We've re-composed the sounds to be closer to those in the movie!
Some of these were also implemented in the "Legendary HENSHIN BELT Version KABUTOZECTER" released this summer, but now they're finally included in CSM!
●Newly recorded "Put On" sound!
This is the first time a toy has voice acting! Since it's dialogue, I think this is the most exciting part of this new addition.
●The clock-up sound now includes a "button press sound"! We've also included a version with an "attack sound" that's closer to the sound in the movie!
A "pshhhh" sound effect has been added when pressing the side buckle.
The "ambient sounds during overclocking" are the same as in the previous game, but by lengthening the length, the "Rider Kick special move sounds" can be heard during the overclocking.
By the way, we often heard people say that the "ambient sounds" in the previous product were not what we wanted, but in fact, they are exactly what we wanted. (We received sounds from Toei that were used in the film.)
The reason why it didn't sound like the same sound is because in the movie, the sounds of the beetles moving and attacking are added to it.
The operating noise is louder, so people assumed it was the overclocking noise. This is indeed the overclocking noise.
So this time, we have made it possible to play audio that includes the sounds of movement and attack.
You can have fun pretending to be a beetle by moving in time with the sound of the movements.
On the other hand, "ambient sounds" that do not include these sounds are also necessary, so that you can move freely without being restricted by the patterns of movement sounds, and so that you can play the "1, 2, 3, Rider Kick" sound at any time you like.
This means that you can enjoy the overclocking in two different ways.
●The product body has been painted to remove any dirt.
Ver.1 had a dirty paint-like inking technique applied in many places, but there were some parts where the expression didn't come out very well, so this time we've eliminated the dirty paint in favor of a cleaner exterior.
This is the same idea behind the release of DOUBLE DRIVER ver. 1.5.
With the above specifications, we will deliver the CSM KABUTOZECTER in a form that is closer to the one in the movie.
I'm sure there are many people out there who weren't able to buy it back then, so don't miss this opportunity to get the upgraded version!
Regarding the price, due to various rising costs over the eight years since its release in 2014, the price has been changed from 12,000 yen to 20,000 yen excluding tax.
As mentioned in the CSM DOUBLE DRIVER ver.1.5 (2019), this is due to the rising cost of materials and labor over the years. Thank you for your understanding.
In addition to the Sundriver, a special stand will also be released this time!
The base is perfect for displaying KABUTOZECTER, with a huge Kabuto mark printed on the top.
This product is also recommended for those who own the previous version.
We plan to continue releasing dedicated pedestals as we develop new belts in the future.
Reservations for KABUTOZECTER will begin tomorrow, December 7th (Tuesday) at 4pm!
I look forward to working with you.
Next up is the "CSM HENSHIN BELT Century King Sand Driver."
I completely forgot to mention this in last week's blog. The background music has been finalized and there will be a total of 10 songs!
The songs were mainly selected from those played during transformation and battle scenes, and I think we were able to include almost all of them.
The most memorable song is "BLACK SUN," which was played during the transformation in episodes 1 and 5.
This song has been edited for length and recorded in two different versions. The version from episode 1 when the locust monster transforms, and the full version. The version from episode 5 is a little less versatile (there is a silent period in the middle), so we recorded it in full length, but please enjoy the transformation play in episode 5 in the full version.
Furthermore, there are two versions of "MAIN THEME (LONG ver.)" included: the version played during the transformation scene in episode 10, and the arrangement played during the final scene where Shadow Moon is blown away with an uppercut. The latter version is not even included in the soundtrack, and we were able to include it thanks to the cooperation of Nippon Columbia!
We will also be including the shocking" KAMEN RIDER BLACK" that plays at the beginning of episode 10!
If you play this while transforming, you will feel a strange sensation. Please enjoy the classic heroic transformation of BLACK SUN.
The BGM is played in order according to the storyline of all 10 episodes, so after the theme song of "KAMEN RIDER BLACK", the music from episode 10 plays, and finally the theme song.
The theme song, "Did you see the sunrise?", includes the "ending version" used in the film!
This is a valuable recording, as the arrangement at the end is slightly different from the full version that has been distributed. This recording was also made possible with the cooperation of Pony Canyon.
Enjoy various transformation games while being surrounded by a rich and gorgeous selection of music.
We look forward to your continued reservations!
That's all for today's blog. The next update will be on Monday, December 12th.
See you next time!
