The ultimate points of the CSM OOO DRIVER Part 4: Foundation X, silver border and scan sound
Today we will be revealing additional details about the features of OOO DRIVER!
This time, we will be talking about the currently released movie "Heisei Generations FINAL."
For those who haven't seen it yet, this may contain some spoilers, so please bear with me.
In the movie, he transformed using the Core Medals created by Foundation X.
The border of this medal is silver, unlike the core medal from 800 years ago.
Since it's a replica of Foundation X, the color is different from the real thing.
I understand that this was something the filmmakers were particular about.
In the movie, these medals were used to transform into the three combos of Tatoba, Gatakiriba, and Tajadoru, so we included medals for these three combos this time, but in terms of their positioning within the product, the sound is the same and we thought of them as something like a bonus in a different color.
But when I watched the movie, I was surprised!
"The scanning sound is different..."
It turns out that the sound is the same as the scanning sound of the cell medal... To be honest, even though I was enjoying the movie at the cinema, this bothered me so much that I went to see the movie again the next day. And I knew I had to recreate this! So,
The scanning sound of the seven Foundation X Core Medals in this product is the same as that of the Cell Medals!
However, as those of you who have seen the movie multiple times may have noticed, this scanning sound actually differs depending on the combo.
When transforming into the first Tatoba Combo, the sound is the same as the usual Core Medal scanning sound, "ring ring ring," but when transforming into subsequent Tajadol Combos or when scanning charges, the sound is the same as the Cell Medal scanning sound, "clang clang clan."
I think that while all medals made by Foundation X are standardized to have the same sound as Cell medals, in the scene in the movie where they first transform into the Tatoba Combo, they deliberately made the sound "ring-ring-ring" to make the transformation scene sound as cool as possible.
However, recreating this with a toy is actually quite tricky...
For example, the way to distinguish between "Tajadol Combo" and "Ankh version of Tajadol Combo" is as follows:
You can create a branching point by first reading either the "normal Taka Medal" or the "cracked Taka Medal," and then branch the audio played when you read the "Peacock Medal" or "Condor Medal" afterwards to either Kushida's voice or Ankh's voice.
However, when it comes to Foundation X medals, I want to distinguish between the scan sounds of the "Tatoba Combo" and the "Tajadol Combo," but the medal I scan first is the same "Hawk." Moreover, the scan sound sounds the moment I scan it, so since I don't know whether to read the tiger or the peacock after scanning the hawk, I don't know which scan sound to play...
I agonized over this issue, but during the New Year holidays I came up with a solution and set the specifications.
First of all, the basic scanning sound of Foundation X-made medals is the same as that of cell medals.
Normally, when you scan a hawk, tiger, or grasshopper, a "clang clang clang" scanning sound is heard.
However, if you scan after playing a certain line with the "Line Button", the scan sound will change to the same "ring ring ring" sound as a normal Core Medals for only the Hawk, Tiger, and Grasshopper Core Medals!!
That line is one that anyone who has seen the movie will think, "That's it."
In both "Normal Mode" and "Buddy Voice Mode," you can play these lines by pressing the dialogue button, so I don't think it's too much of a hassle.
We will be sure to assemble even these small details to recreate them as they appear in the movie!
That's all for today's blog.
See you next time!
