The latest Ultraman series, "Ultraman Arc," will finally start airing on Saturday, July 6th!
We can't wait to see the exploits of the new Ultraman who fights using the "power of imagination" after transforming into Yuuma, a new investigator at SKIP!

So, as you probably already know,
Today we will introduce this new product!!


Sound x Action Scream! Ultraman Z
Scheduled release date: July 27th (Sat) / Price: 3,960 yen (tax included) / Now accepting pre-orders on EC sites!


As the name suggests, the "Sound x Action" series is a series of movable figures that can activate sounds such as Ultraman 's shouts, lines, and attack sounds by pressing a button.


In addition to the first series," Ultraman Blazar," which was released in February, the second series will be "Ultraman Z," a character with a unique way of speaking that is memorable for his conversation scenes in the movie!


The latest samples arrived in time for the information ban to be lifted, so this time we'll be introducing the products, including the appeal of the "Sound x Action" series!

 


So let's get started!

 


◆Package

 

The Ultra Action Figure series mainly comes in blister packaging, while the Sound x Action series comes in a windowed box package.


Ultraman Z is known for his striking pose with his arms outstretched, but with this product, the design makes it appear as if the product visible through the window and the arms painted on the packaging are connected.

 
We've also incorporated some fun elements that are unique to sound and action, such as adding some little designs and lines to the flap that you see when you open the package, so we hope you'll look forward to it!



◆ Figures
We will also introduce the specification format of the "Sound x Action" series.



The "Sound x Action" series is approximately 18 cm tall, making it one size larger than the "Ultra Action Figure" series.

 


◆Action
We'll introduce the key feature, "sound," later. First, the action!


↓↓ Range of motion of upper body



In addition to the Ultra Action Figure series, the ball joint on the chest allows for side-to-side roll movement! Although the back is ball-jointed due to the sound unit inside, it doesn't have much range of movement forward, backward, left and right.


However, even with just the roll movement, it is possible to pose it in ultra-lifelike ways as a movable figure!



↓↓Arm range of motion

The range of motion of the arms is the same as the Ultra Action Figure series.


↓↓ Range of motion of lower body



In terms of range of motion for the lower body, due to the larger size compared to the Ultra Action Figure series, we've added thigh roll movement to take into account the grounding when posing!


The thighs can move approximately 90 degrees and the knees can move more than 90 degrees!



Even though it includes sound, it's still a highly-articulated figure with impressive specs!
By utilizing the full range of motion, you can create a variety of poses!






◆Sound
Next is the sound! There is a speaker and a button on the back.

The electrical circuit unit is compactly housed only in the torso part, which allows for sound production while still boasting a wide range of motion as a movable figure, achieving both specifications.


​"Sound x Action" to match the memorable scenes in the movie!

Blazer included about 40 different sounds, but Zett had so many memorable scenes and lines that it was difficult to narrow it down! So we've included a whopping 60 sounds!


As a figure, both fingers can be opened to the left and right, so you can recreate this scene without the need for interchangeable parts!

​"Sound x Action" to suit various scenes!

As you can see from the image, it contains a huge variety of sounds, including not only lines and calls, but also "color timer sounds," "special move sounds," and even "flying away sounds"!

The Zestium Ray pose is also like this!

*The arms are not neatly crossed because the audio unit is inside the torso. The camera has been composing the shot to make it look like they are crossed.


You can pose it like this and make a sound!

You can hold it in your hand like this and play with it to make sounds!

Anyway, Z's personality, range of motion, and sound all combine to make it fun to pose and touch it for a long time. That's the kind of product we've created!


(I was playing with Morotai by touching it and making sounds while I was shooting, and before I knew it, the number of photos I took had increased drastically lol)
