My name is Nino and I am in charge of Ultraman toy planning and development.

As we enter May, more information about "Ultraman Omega" is gradually becoming clear...!
Yesterday's official announcement revealed some major news, which is sure to get people even more excited!!

As mentioned in our previous blog, information on all Omega toys is scheduled to be released on Friday, June 6th.
We will have to wait about another month for the official detailed information to be released, but until then we will be giving away sneak peeks of the latest information on Omega toys on this blog and on Ultraman TOY WEB X (@bandai_ultratoy), so be sure to check it out frequently.


This is "Ultra Meteor"! The actual toy is revealed for the first time!

Today's topic is about "Ultra Meteor".

The Ultra Meteor series has Product Information released so far:

1: The standard Omega Meteor that comes with the "Transformation Item DX Omega Slugger"
2: Omega Meteor Omega Color ver., included in the "Starter Set" released on June 7th (Sat).
3: Omega Meteor Glitter Star ver., which will be distributed at the "Hero Greeting" event

There are three types:
Today, we will be unveiling the actual development sample for the first time in Japan!



Shazam!
Although they are all the same "Omega Meteor", each one has a different coloring and molding color expression, which makes them a visual treat.

If we were to give a toy-like motif for the "Ultra Meteor," a collectible item in this game, it would be something like a "color timer" or a "meteor/meteorite."

I have the impression that many people noticed when the initial report was released that the Omega Meteor resembles a color timer. (Everyone, you're so sharp!)



When attached to the Omega Slugger, the design is such that it links with the entire Omega chest armor.



By the way, Omega's Color Timers are characterized by their sparkling, spiral-like glow, but the Omega Meteor itself also has a transparent sticker inside, so when it is illuminated, the spiral pattern can be seen through it!



Other than the color timer, we also mentioned images of a shooting star or meteorite, but this time, rather than a straightforward organic or mineral expression, it is characterized by an arrangement that resembles a small gadget.

Speaking of gadget-like, they have also succeeded in making the items themselves smaller, and by incorporating technology which is being used for the first time in Ultraman toys, they have achieved a size that is easy to collect (not bulky) and a sleek silhouette.

The key point is that the reading part for linking with the transformation item, which is also found on the Guts Hyper Key and Blazar Stone, is not noticeable at first glance.



Of course, as toys, each one is assigned its own individual sound link, so you can enjoy different linked play with each of the three types!


There's no need to worry about losing it because it's so small!
The "Meteor Holder" worn by the main character Sorato in the film is also scheduled to be commercialized.
(The Glitter Star color version has already been announced, but the normal version is also in development.)



The best thing about this item is that by setting it in the holder and wearing it around your neck, you can have a new way of having fun as the main character NARIKIRI.

The size was developed solely for children, but it fits surprisingly well for adults too, so it might be suitable for everyday use...?!



As the person in charge of items, I am secretly looking forward to seeing a large number of children and adults wearing the same necklaces appear around Ikebukuro and Umeda during this year's "Urusama" season! (laughs)

By the way, at the moment there is only Omega Meteor, so it's hard to imagine, but
The general name for all collection items is "Ultra Meteor," and the name for the Ultra Meteor used to transform into Ultraman Omega is "Omega Meteor."​
