Ultraman Toy Blog vol.11 "Guts Wing No. 1" Product Description

Hello everyone, this is SS, in charge of Ultraman toy development.
To commemorate the launch of the TDG project, we are now accepting pre-orders for the "Ultra Revive Guts Wing No. 1" starting today.


This time, Guts Wing No. 1 has been commercialized under the new brand name Ultra Revive.
The concept of Ultra Revive is" Ultraman items for adults" that are revivals of previously released Ultraman series ride mechas and crew items with new specifications. It is a different brand from "ULTRA REPLICA", which sells transformation items for adults.

Guts Wing No. 1 has been commercialized in the past as Popynica and UMW, but the Ultra Revive version will be the first to be commercialized with a "light up! sound!" gimmick. This is the best part of this product!

Both wings are equipped with LEDs at the rear, allowing you to enjoy lighting up the wings just like in the movie. In addition, we have recorded flight sounds and attack sounds such as missiles, allowing you to enjoy a realistic Guts Wing No. 1.

Now, I will explain each specification.

■ Illumination at rear of wing
The rear of both wings light up, allowing you to recreate flight scenes from the movie! Press and hold the A button on the back of Guts Wing No. 1 and the LED will light up. After a certain amount of time has passed, or by pressing and holding the A button again, the LED will turn off.


■ Recorded sound effects
We'll be introducing all the sound effects that we weren't able to show on the pre-order page! We've included even the most intricate sound effects, such as the sound of pressing the keyboard in the cockpit before launching a missile, so please look forward to it.

■ 2 mode transformation
It can transform into two modes: flight mode and standby mode. Guts Wing No. 1 has a Hyper Mode setting, but this product does not transform into Hyper Mode, which did not appear in the "Ultraman Tiga" TV series. The reason for this is that the internal structure requires LEDs to be installed at the rear of the wing, and if we were to incorporate a 3-mode transformation into Hyper Mode, it would be difficult to fix the wing, and there would be a high possibility that the wing would shake in the main flight mode, so we decided to make it a 2-mode transformation so that the wing can be fixed firmly and it is easy to display. It is possible to transform into the two modes that appeared in the TV series, so we think you will enjoy it!


■ Included parts
1. Missiles
The bottom of the Guts Wing opens up, allowing missiles to be attached. The sound effects of missile launch are included, so you can enjoy recreating the missile launch scene.
(*Missiles are not actually fired.)

②Landing legs
A total of three landing gear can be attached, one at the front and two at the rear. You can also enjoy displaying it with the landing gear attached.

③Detachable seat
The cockpit seat is removable, and the sound of escaping from the cockpit is recorded, allowing you to recreate the scene from the movie where the pilot escapes after an attack.


■ Pedestal that reproduces the maintenance carrier
For display purposes, a pedestal that reproduces the maintenance carrier in the Ride Mecha Hangar at the TPC Far East Headquarters Base is included. Of the multiple pedestal designs, the maintenance carrier was selected as the pedestal so that the viewer can be immersed in the world of Ultraman Tiga.
There is also a lid on the underside of the base, which can be used to store unused parts such as the landing gear, missiles, and parts for fixing the wings (there are separate parts for fixing the wings in flight mode).



Here's another announcement! A prototype of "Ultra Revive Guts Wing No. 1" will be exhibited at the Tsuburaya Productions booth at Tokyo Comic Con, which is being held at Makuhari Messe from November 30th (Friday) to December 2nd (Sunday). Amazingly, this time, it will also be exhibited together with the prop!


There is one thing I would like to add: there are many different props for Guts Wing No. 1, both large and small, and for the sake of the exhibition, we are exhibiting a different prop from the one we used as reference for developing Ultra Revive. Please forgive us for the differences in details and coloring from the prop.
However, it has been rare to have the props exhibited together with the original models until now, so if you are planning to visit, be sure to check it out!
