Hello everyone! I'm Wak-kun, in charge of planning and developing Ultraman toys.

In this blog post [Junko 1], the reservation deadline is 11pm on Monday, September 1st.
I'll be giving a factory sample prototype review of the "MovieMonsterSeries x Ultra Monster DX Vagsect (Large)"!

A large space monster that appeared at the beginning of the first episode of "Ultraman Omega".
Similarly, the Grime that emerged from underground in the first episode of Omega was also depicted quite impressively, but the Vagsect (larger form) is clearly differentiated by its battle scenes in outer space and its insect-like appearance, so I think many viewers will have a vivid memory of it.
(Even now, thinking about it, the fact that those two giant monsters appeared... it was a magnificent and incredibly exciting first episode.)

However, this time,
The " MovieMonsterSeries " is a soft vinyl series that pursues realistic sculpting.
This figure was created as a collaboration with the large-sized soft vinyl series "Ultra Monster DX".

In this blog post, I'll be reviewing the product's selling points and sharing my personal preferences as the person in charge, hoping to provide a review that will pique the interest of our readers!

Point 1: Overwhelming size

The large-scale Vagsect appeared in the film on an overwhelming scale, and as mentioned earlier, by incorporating elements from the Ultraman Kaiju DX series, we have achieved a truly impressive size.

This is how it looks when placed alongside other figures in the Ultraman soft vinyl series.

For customers who have already purchased many Ultraman soft vinyl figures, this figure is sized to be displayed alongside them as part of your collection!

Point 2: Overwhelming design

To faithfully reproduce the powerful and biological form of the Vagsect, this product utilizes a hybrid approach combining BANDAI's main mass-production soft soft vinyl molding method with injection molding (injection parts).

This allows for shapes that are normally impossible to create with soft vinyl.

The realistic sculpting is faithfully reproduced, just like in the film.

This method requires more cost and time than typical soft vinyl molding techniques, making it challenging to apply to all soft vinyl items... but we are taking on this challenge with this product.

Point 3: Overwhelming color

We also thoroughly pursued the "coloring" to further enhance the already stunning sculpting.
The large Vagsect in the film had a gray body with silver accents, giving it a very imposing appearance.

While the term "silver" encompasses a wide range of shades, from dazzlingly shiny silver to a heroic yet chic silver, this product thoroughly pursues the "dull, gleaming silver" that can accurately recreate the look from the film.

This results in a color scheme that is quite striking, yet not overly flashy, and conveys a sense of darkness.

Furthermore, even the protrusions from the forehead to the tip of the tail are fully painted without leaving anything untouched!

The eyes, designed to resemble the compound eyes of a fly, also feature a realistic texture achieved through the use of blurred paintwork.

The metallic blue adds an attractive accent color to the large Vagsect, giving it a more organic feel.

We have paid meticulous attention to every detail in our "Vagsect (Large)" and we hope you will take the opportunity to purchase it.
