Development of the Guts Hyper Key series is nearing completion.
The key for the missing numbers "U17/U18/U19" that deep fans may have noticed will be released soon. Please look forward to it.


In this blog, we will be taking a look at the "Guts Hyper Key Premium Ultraman Trigger Key Set" and "Guts Hyper Key Premium Three Titans of Darkness Key Set", which are currently accepting pre-orders.






<Product concept>
First of all, the "Trigger Key Set" is a set of five keys that includes the Trigger True Key that appeared in the final episode, as well as the Multi, Power, Sky, and Glitter Trigger Eternity keys that are involved in the trigger transformations, all upgraded to Premium specifications.



We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that there are no plans (at least at this time) to release a memorial edition of the Guts Spark Lens itself.
Taking full advantage of the strength of the "sound can be produced by itself" feature, the "memorial edition" is made up of just the Guts Hyper Key.

Given the explosive response to last year's "Ultra Z Riser MEMORIAL EDITION," we had always fantasized about planning a similar commemorative product for "Trigger." However, unlike Ultra Medals, Guts Hyper Keys cost over 1,000 yen each, so in order to offer the product at the lowest possible price, we decided to make the set consist of just the key this time.
(Although the DX Guts Spark Lens is a DX product, it was developed with some ideas in mind that are similar to the approach taken with PREMIUM BANDAI limited editions, so I think it will be just as fun to play with even without releasing a memorial version.)


The next set, the "Three Giants of Darkness Key Set," is made up of original toy keys, but they are Guts Hyper Keys of Carmilla, Dargon, and Hydra, who are inseparable from the story of "Trigger."



Each of the Three Titans of Darkness has a deep rival, and a rich drama is depicted throughout the story, so we've included many lines that will bring those scenes to mind, and compiled them into a form that you can enjoy at your fingertips.



In addition, the "Monster Encyclopedia Mode" featured in the "Ultra Brothers Key Set" turned out to be much more fun to play than we could have imagined, so these three keys also include a mode that lets you hear the roars of monsters.


Now that I've given you an overall overview, I'd like to go into the detailed specifications of each set, but as of today the internal programming of the products has not yet been completed, so I am unable to reveal all of the specifications.
Therefore, in this article we will focus on the information that can be confirmed at this time, and will publish a follow-up article once the program is completed.

At this point in time, some elements have been improved from the information listed on the order page, so be sure to check it out until the end!


[Trigger key set specifications]
Not only the newly released Trigger True Key, but also the remade keys "Multi" through "Glitter Trigger Eternity" do not use the built-in voices from the "DX version", but have all been re-edited from scratch.

Since it's the same trigger key, the "sound source" itself for the transformation sounds and the like is the same, but we've reviewed the composition and mix of the audio program to make each sound closer to how it sounds and how it can be played in the movie, and to achieve a volume balance that is easy to hear.

As previously reported, in addition to the existing sound effects, character voices, Ultraman 's calls, color timer sounds, special move sounds, and theme song background music have been added, resulting in a significant evolution in terms of content.



At the time of development of the "DX version," the "trigger shout" and "color timer sound" had not yet been created and so it was impossible to record them, so as the developer, I feel that this trigger key set is a long-cherished wish come true.
To make up for this, we will be creating the ultimate Hyper Key by incorporating all of the know-how we have gained from developing Premium keys up to now, so we hope you will look forward to the sound aspect of the key.

Here are some specific examples of what we meant above by "aiming to create sounds and gameplay that are closer to those in the movie."​

・When playing in conjunction with the Guts Spark Lens, you can play the heavenly voice during the transformation sound (Ultraman Trigger! XX type!) at any time (as the timing differs for each episode in the series).
・If you do not operate the device during the transformation sound, it is possible to"prevent the heavenly voice from playing."
- With the type change keys (Power, Sky, Glitter), the "Gyurrrrrun!!" sound that occurs during the transformation can be played at any time.
- After playing the transformation game, you can have the color timer sound play in the background along with the shouts and special move sounds.
- Both the color timer sound and background music can be played or stopped at will, so you can have the color timer start ringing as you layer skill sounds.
In the transformation mode with dialogue, the beginning of the transformation sound starts without waiting for the transformation trigger sound on the Guts Spark Lens to finish, making it sound closer to the sound in the TV show.
Similarly, we are currently testing a program that will start the background music over the lingering sound of the transformation. This will allow the sound to flow seamlessly, which should further increase the sense of realism.
- The sounds of special moves and weapon attacks have been upgraded to include" Ultraman 's shouts."​
- The audio data recorded for each key is compressed to the lowest possible level (= data with improved sound quality) within the capacity of the built-in IC.

...That's it!
In addition to the sound quality, the product packaging will be made in the popular window blister design, allowing you to display all five keys together.


[Specifications of the Dark Giants 3 Key Set]
・The sound that plays when transforming with the Guts Spark Lens is not the "usual transformation melody" that plays when other monster keys are inserted, but the "dark sound effect" that plays every time the three Titans appear in the movie.
Like the Trigger Set, you can now choose whether or not to play the voice from heaven (character name) when transforming, and if so, the timing at which it is played.
・Due to the large number of appealing lines, the total number of recorded character voices will be significantly increased from the planned number listed on the order page.
In the monster summoning mode, we plan to record the cries of almost all monsters that appeared in the Trigger TV series, allotted to three keys. (We are working hard to make "almost all" into "all of them").
​-The packaging for the Dark Giants 3 Key Set is even more luxurious than the Trigger Key Set.

The "Ultraman Z Key Set," which began shipping the other day, was also an item that gave us great satisfaction as developers in terms of the craftsmanship, but the "Trigger Key Set" and "Three Titans of Darkness Key Set" already feel like they surpass it.
