Ultraman Toy Development Blog vol. 34 "The Myth of the Keys (Part 2): The Tigakis are already here!! A thorough explanation of the limited edition set"

Hello everyone, this is Nno, in charge of Ultraman toy development!

Well, in today's update, we'll be introducing the items we showed you at the end of the last article.
We will be featuring the "PREMIUM BANDAI Limited DX Guts Hyper Key Ultraman Tiga Key Set"!

Many people were surprised that pre-orders started before the broadcast of Ultraman Trigger, but with the multi-type key going on sale this Saturday the 3rd, we were delighted to announce all the keys for each form of Tiga at once!

Of the three types in the set, the Power Type and Sky Type share a motif that is also found in Trigger, but the key designs and built-in sound variations are completely different from the Trigger versions!
We'll explain this in more detail in the review below, so let's get started right away.

[Point 1: A one-of-a-kind special edition! Get your hands on the Glitter Tigaki!!]
Let's start with the appearance! We lined up the three keys.

The Power and Sky Keys use the same metallic red and blue body colors as the Trigger version, and feature a sticker design of them in a pose firing the Delacium Light Flow and Lambart Light Bullets.

As for the "Glitter Tigaki," which does not have a corresponding appearance in Trigger, we have used a clear molding color with glitter, which is the only exception at present, to express the special feeling of Glitter Tiga!

Whenever the light hits the product, the glitter sparkles and is very pretty. It's divine!
By the way, the Glitter Tigaki sticker is designed to show him unleashing his final move, the Timer Flash Special, which killed Gatanozoa.

I was torn between using the Glitter Zeperion Ray pose, but in that case it would inevitably end up looking similar to the Multi-Type Key, so I went with this as the final finishing move.

[Point 2: Check out the linked sounds that will make you grin!]
Next, let's talk about the audio inside.

In the previous article, we explained the sound specifications of the key series, but for each key you can switch between "Hyper Key Mode" and "Sound Mode" by pressing and holding the button.

"Hyper Key Mode" is a mode specialized for transformation NARIKIRI, so a startup sound will play every time you press a button, and in "Sound Mode" each key will play a unique sound, such as a transformation melody or special move sound.

Of course, these three types can also be used with the DX Guts Spark Lens and DX Circle Arms.

Like the other keys, you can enjoy individual gunfire sounds, transformation sequence sounds, special move sounds, and more!

Some people may be wondering what the transformation sounds for Power Type and Glitter Tiga are, so to add a little more information, Power Type and Sky Type are based on the sound Tiga makes when changing types, and Glitter Tiga is based on the sound it makes when it appears in the final episode of the TV series.

One thing we want you to pay particular attention to is the sound effect that plays after you transform into the DX Guts Spark Lens!
Since this is a PREMIUM BANDAI limited edition, we've included some more esoteric sounds here...

In addition to the basic "Lambart Light Bullet" sound, the Sky Type Key also produces the sound of the "Tiga Freezer" that froze Kyrieroid, while the Power Type Key produces the sound effect of the "Zepellion Ray" in addition to the "Delacium Light Stream"!

You might be wondering, "Zepellion, even though it's a power type?!", but there is actually a scene in the final battle where it is fired at Gatanozoa, and that's when the special sound effect was used.
(I think this might be the first Tiga toy to include this sound.)

What's more, the highlight of the set, the Glitter Tigaki, comes with the full sounds of the four techniques that were used in the final episode of the TV series: "Glitter Bomber," "Glitter Vanish," "Glitter Zeperion Ray," and "Timer Flash Special"!
Each time you pull the trigger a sound will be played in sequence.

In addition to the above, the game also includes sound effects from the movie, such as Tiga's shouts and flying sounds, so you can look forward to the depth of play you can have with each item!!

So today, I'll be reviewing the product specifications of the "PREMIUM BANDAI Limited DX Guts Hyper Key Ultraman Tiga Key Set"!

Not only can you enjoy listening to various sound effects with just the key set, but you're sure to have even more fun if you collect the old and new type changes of Trigger and Tiga!

Pre-orders for the "PREMIUM BANDAI Limited DX Guts Hyper Key Ultraman Tiga Key Set" are now open starting today for 3,300 yen (tax included, shipping and handling fees not included)!
