Ultraman Toy Blog vol.35 "Soft Vinyl Prophecy/The Trigger is about to start!"
Hello everyone, this is Nno, in charge of Ultraman toy development!
Well, finally, tomorrow, July 10th (Saturday) the broadcast of "Ultraman Trigger" will start.
In addition, toy products including the "DX Guts Spark Lens" will be released at the same time!
In today's update, we will be introducing the long-awaited return of the Ride Mecha "DX Guts Falcon" and the classic item of the Ultraman series, the "Ultra Soft Vinyl Series"!
Point 1: The Reiwa version of Guts Wing! Evolved 2-mode transformation!!
Let's start with the DX Guts Falcon.
Immediately after the information ban was lifted, the setting of "operating an unmanned drone" has been a hot topic.
As a toy, it is a topical item with a design that pays homage to Guts Wing No. 1 and a bold two-mode transformation!
Here are the product packages you can find in stores!
Those with a keen eye may have noticed, but the packaging design actually pays homage to the style of "Popynica Guts Wing No. 1" from the Tiga era.
When you open the envelope, you'll see Guts Falcon in flight mode!
It's so big that it would stick out of the palm of an adult's hand, and I think you'll be surprised at how big it is.
The basic flight mode design is reminiscent of "Guts Wing No. 1",
If you look closely, you can see that it has a lot of fine detailing throughout, and has a more edgy form than the Guts Wing.
It also incorporates many of Guts Falcon's unique features.
From a toy perspective, the "yellow" body color could run the risk of looking too toy-like, but I think that by making the molding color itself semi-glossy, it gives it a subdued texture.
Another point is that the paintwork is so thorough that it's a bit surprising at first glance, with different paints used in different areas - glossy, matte, and metallic - increasing the amount of detail.
There is a landing gear on the bottom of the main body, and it can roll on three wheels.
When closed, it retracts with a satisfying "click" and transitions into flight mode.
As you can see in the PV, in flight mode it faces off against monsters by attacking with gun muzzles attached to the left and right sides of the front!
And! The highlight of the DX Guts Falcon is its super transformation into Hyper Mode!
The lower Gatling gun is deployed...
Lower the wing...
Just rotate 180 degrees!
Finally, bend the nose...
Completed! Hyper mode!!
The fun part is that it's a simple step but it dramatically changes the silhouette.
The Gatling guns mounted on both arms are made up of small separate parts, allowing you to reproduce the fine details without filling in the sculpture!
Although this is due to the transformation, a nice feature is that the nose, arms, legs and waist can all move around!
If you line it up with the monster soft vinyl figures like this, it will look just the right size, making it perfect for playing around with!!
"DX Guts Falcon" will be released on Saturday, July 10th with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 2,420 yen (tax included).

There's also a new soft vinyl series coming out that you'll want to display alongside Guts Falcon!
On Saturday, July 10th, the monster "Golbar", which appears in episode 1, will be commercialized.
One thing I would like to point out is that this "Golbar" has an amazingly good design.
With detailed surface and fine nuances captured in the depiction of the wings, it's a very well-made figure!
(I'm clumsy so I can't do it... but I think it would be amazing if you tried shading it.)
This is a must-have item to commemorate the start of Trigger broadcasts!!
The "Ultraman Trigger" soft vinyl series has been boosted by the overwhelming popularity of the previous work, "Z," and more and more products featuring characters from the series are now being made!
Combined with the already released "Gimaira," this completes all of the monsters that have been released so far (!).
Taking into account future product developments, I would like to make a prediction.
We can safely say that the lineup of super-super-super-super-super-serious events will continue to be extremely exciting!!
We hope to have a great opportunity for fans of the series who have loved the series for a long time (thank you as always!), as well as those who have never collected soft vinyl figures before.
