Ultra hello everyone!
It has been a while!
I'm Gusshi, in charge of developing the ULTRA REPLICA Orb Ring.

Today, we announced and started taking preorders for the "ULTRA REPLICA Orb Ring"!!



The "Orb Ring" used by the main character Gai Kurenai in "Ultraman Orb," which aired in 2016, is returning after five years as ULTRA REPLICA!
I still remember the shock I felt when I first saw the scene in the first episode where he transformed inside the photo booth!

This time, we would like to introduce four ultra-evolution (Ultra Power-Up) points of the product specifications for the "ULTRA REPLICA Orb Ring" that we were unable to fully cover on the reservation page.


Super evolution point 1: Appearance
In order to increase the level of authenticity once again, we received cooperation from Tsuburaya Productions, and borrowed a prop that Guy Kurenai actually held during filming, which we then 3D scanned.
We did not use any design data for the DX Orb Ring, but created completely new design data!
By making minor adjustments to the grip size and overall appearance, it is possible to achieve a look that is very close to the prop.


And now, in making the Orb Ring into ULTRA REPLICA, the biggest change in appearance is the reproduction of the ring part.


Those who own the DX Orb Ring from that time may know this, but the transparent ring part had ribs (plastic wires) and screw posts (cylindrical shapes for fastening screws).



This was necessary as the DX Orb Ring is intended for ages 3 and up, and required increased strength to prevent it from breaking if dropped.

As the target age is 15 years and above, we have removed the ribs and screw posts to prioritize appearance.




Super evolution point 2: How it glows
The DX Orb Ring lights up by having two LEDs on both ends illuminate the light guide plate inside the transparent ring part.
This was a brilliant, revolutionary idea from our development team at the time, as it allowed us to make a ring-shaped light shine within limited costs.



However, since only two LEDs could be used, the light appeared to get weaker as you got closer to the center.



As for the props and in the film, the entire ring appears to glow.

That's right! The prop uses 48 LEDs!
The power of the LEDs is overwhelmingly different from that of toys.

When making ULTRA REPLICA, it was essential to recreate the glow seen in the movie.


Yep! Just put a lot of LEDs on it! (Stupid)
So this time, ULTRA REPLICA Orb Ring is equipped with more than 18 LEDs!



Have you ever seen an item that uses LEDs so much before? It's refreshing.


And by covering it with milky white parts, we have managed to recreate the appearance and light emission seen in the movie!
(We have been developing this for about nine months since November 2020...)



ULTRA REPLICA Orb Ring allows the LED light colors to be differentiated between the right half, left half, and center.

If you look closely at the transformation scene in the movie, you can see that the light in the center is stronger and appears to be glowing white.
To recreate this, for example, the right half of the Specium Zeperion glows light blue, the left half yellow, and the center white, recreating the glow seen in the movie!

It is no exaggeration to say that this is the most important part of the Orb Ring, and it is also something that we paid particular attention to.
It may be hard to understand how it lights up just from the reservation page, so we hope you will also take a look at the video!

Super Evolution Point 3: Cards
Ultra Fusion Cards

Of course, just like the PB version, the design uses the same Ultra lettering as the prop, but this ULTRA REPLICA version has removed the vertical lines that were on the PB version card!



A newly designed Ultra Fusion card is also included!



One character we would like you to pay particular attention to is Ultraman Geed!
Ultraman Geed's fate changed as he inherited the genes of Ultraman Belial.
Since he is the son of Ultraman Belial, he has the same purple background, but the attributes of the lower part are "light" which contrasts with Ultraman Belial 's "darkness"!



Also, a newly designed card will be included...
New voices from heaven have also been recorded! New combo combinations have also been added!

When you read the "Ultraman Geed," "Ultraman," or "Ultraman Belial" cards, the Orb Ring's heavenly voice will say "Fusion Rise," and you will be able to hear the transformation sound of "Ultraman Geed Primitive"!

Super Evolution Point 4: Kurenai Guy Mode
I'm sure this is what all Orb fans and all Kurenai Guy fans have been waiting for!
At least for me, this was definitely a mode I wanted!

First, thrust the Orb Ring forward to activate it!
Kurenai Gai led the cards in unison with "Ultraman-san!" and "Tiga-san!"
By pressing the trigger in time with "I'll borrow the power of light!", you can recreate, or rather, experience the entire transformation scene!

The transformation sounds will be the same as those used in the film,

The sound itself has also been improved from the DX Orb Ring!

Also, while the DX Orb Ring only had one special move sound, each type change includes multiple special moves!

It also features a background music standby mode, a first for ULTRA REPLICA series!
By selecting background music before transforming, the theme song or background music will automatically play after the transformation.
