Ultraman Toy Blog vol.44 [Specifications] Hyper Keys for the Top 10 New Generation Heroes are here!!

Hello everyone, this is Nno, in charge of planning and development Ultraman toys.

Well, in this article we will introduce this item that was released today!

"DX Guts Hyper Key Premium New Generation Heroes Key Set Vol.1" & "Vol.2"!!

Some of you may have been surprised by this sudden announcement and unexpected turn of events, but this time too we have put a lot of effort into commercializing this product, so please read on until the end!

■A "sound edition super complete collection" that condenses the history of the new generation!!
This key set features the 10 main Ultraman from the "New Generation" series.
The 10 keys are divided into two sets of 5, and Vol. 1 includes the five characters Ginga, Victory, Orb, Rosso, and Blu.

Vol.2 will feature five keys: X, Geed, Taiga, Titas, and Fuma.

(From this point on in this article, we will be introducing the specifications for all 10 pieces, but please note that the product is divided into these two sets.)

Now, with all 10 keys commercialized, it goes without saying that it is impressive to see all the New Generation Heroes gathered together, but what we want you to know about this product is that it does not simply "complement the lineup."
Taking full advantage of the strength of the "Guts Hyper Key" - that it can produce sound on its own - we've packed each key with sound related to each hero.
We want you to pay attention to the content, which can be called a "complete collection of sounds," including transformation melodies, calls, character voices, color timer sounds, special moves, flight sounds, and even the theme song!

I may be a little biased, but each and every key is worthy of being called a "Petit ULTRA REPLICA."
We've been making Guts Hyper Keys for a year now and have accumulated a lot of know-how, so we've packed in a variety of specifications that could only be achieved now, so we'll introduce them to you one by one.

■Point 1: Includes character voices from 11 heroes from the past!!
The key this time is the same "Guts Hyper Key Premium" specification as the "Ultraman Z Key Set", so in addition to the normal "Hyper Key Mode", it also has a "Transformation Mode with Dialogue" where lines are spoken during the transformation sequence and background music is played after the transformation.

This 10-key set includes the character voices of the eight main characters and three Ultraman (Reido Hikaru, Shou, Ozora Daichi, Kurenai Gai, Asakura Riku, Minato Katsumi, Minato Isami, Kudo Hiroyuki, Taiga, Titas and Fuma) who have woven the history of the New Generation Series!

In other words, when transforming with the X key you can hear Daichi's "Xiiiiii!!", and when transforming with the Taiga key you can hear Hiroyuki's "Buddy, go!!"!!
Ginga Key, Geed Key, and Rosso Key!! This is pretty amazing!!
(Even though I made it myself, I'm the one who's most excited about it.)

The appeal of the Guts Spark Lens and Guts Hyper Key is that they can be used by multiple transformers.
It's still fresh in our memories when Haruki uses the Guts Spark Lens to transform into Z, and when Ribut's human form transformation was depicted in live action for the first time.

This key set delves deeper into this element, with the main concept being the ability to play with what-if scenarios, such as "What if Riku Asakura visited the world of Trigger, picked up the Guts Spark Lens, and transformed into Geed...?"

The lines were chosen based on the rule "What if you transformed using the Guts Spark Lens?", so for example, the key for Rosso and Blu does not include the line "Select, crystal!"
(Because it uses keys instead of crystals)
Instead, the line that Katsumi and Isami shout just before they enter the transformation sequence, "Paint them in my color! R/B!" can be played by pressing a button before inserting the key into the Guts Spark Lens.
Also, like in "Orb Origin," characters who do not utter a catchphrase during the transformation sequence () do not hear any catchphrases during the transformation, but instead hear a catchphrase such as "The light of the galaxy calls me!" after the transformation, ensuring that there is no distinction between superior and inferior specifications.
(※) Strictly speaking, during the Orb play, they shout "Orb Calibur!", but this is the same idea as the R/B group above.

We are currently working on the audio program for the product, and once it is completed we will release a demonstration video on "Banmani!" or some other media, so please look forward to it.

■Point 2: Includes theme songs from previous works!!
Following on from the character voices, the next thing I want to emphasize is that the album includes all of the TV-sized theme songs from the past.
When we wanted to create this key set as a memorial item for each hero, we felt that a theme song that symbolizes the work was an essential element.
The excitement I felt when the theme songs from the past played in their exact TV-length length from the palm-sized Guts Hyper Key was indescribable...!

The songs included in this album were selected based on the criterion of "songs that symbolize each hero."
For example, for Ginga and Victory Key, instead of the opening songs used at the time of broadcast (= the theme songs of Ultraman Retsuden), we chose "Ultraman Ginga Song" and "Ultraman Victory Song," which are used as opening songs on the Blu-ray of the work and are used repeatedly in battle scenes in the movie.
In addition, on the R/B Brothers album, which is a work by the two of them, "Hands" is recorded in a first half/second half edit.
On the other hand, the lyrics of Taiga's theme song, "Buddy, steady, go!" clearly state "Ultraman Taiga!", so we decided not to use it in the key for Titas and Fuma, and instead used character songs specifically for these two.
I thought that this might be a point that divided opinions, so I explained the intention behind the project.

In terms of gameplay, you can play the theme tune from the key alone, or you can attach it to a Guts Spark Lens and play the hero's shouts and special move sounds while the theme tune plays in the background.
The latter in particular will definitely get you excited!!

■Point 3: 'Each key has at least four special move sounds'!
Well, I think the catchy and easy-to-understand elements would be the character voices and theme song mentioned above, but other than that we've packed in as many sound effects as we could collect from each work!

The basic specifications are as follows:
・Transformation Melody
- Hero shouts (at least four different voice patterns will be recorded)

- Color timer sound
-Flying sounds (I'd like to add some shouts here as well)
・This is the sound of a special move.

None of these will simply be re-recordings of data that was included in past BANDAI products; rather, with the cooperation of Tsuburaya Productions, we will be preparing and recording new sound source data from the original works.
Many of the sound sources, such as the color timer and flight sounds, are likely being commercialized for the first time.

We plan to include more than four special move sounds for each character, including not only the main moves but also some more obscure moves.

We've been very particular about this "technique sound," so we'll let you know more details once the program has progressed a little further and the content has been finalized...!!

Well, this is getting a bit long so I'll stop here for now!
It's not that I've run out of things to say, but rather that there's still so much more... that's why I'm calling it a "conclusion for now"!!

In the next update, we will provide more detailed information on the improvements made to the specifications!
We are confident that you will enjoy this product, so we recommend that you make your reservation early.

Please look forward to it.
