Ultraman Toy Blog vol.1 "Evoltluster & Blast Shot" Product Description (1)

hello everyone.
My name is SS and I've been in charge of Ultraman toy development since April.
This time, we are pleased to introduce our toy development for the first time for Ultraman.

We would like to get straight to the point and explain some of the product specifications for the latest ULTRA REPLICA, "Evoltluster & Blast Shot," which are available for pre-order from today, that we were unable to fully cover on the pre-order page.

About the appearance
First, let me explain the appearance.
The toy for Evoltluster that was released when the show was broadcast had a button on the side to unlock the sheath and handle, but this unlock button has been removed and the location of the switch that detects whether the sheath is inserted or removed has been moved from near the center of the handle to the tip of the handle.

We've also removed the button on the front of the handle that sounds when a beast is detected, and by eliminating the separate parts, we've given the tip of the metallic red part a sharp shape, just like the prop used in the movie.

The switch was removed from the front, but by placing it on the back, we designed it to improve the front view. (There are two buttons on the back.)

The clear yellow part near the center of the pattern is also the LED light-up part, and while the toy at the time of broadcast only had clear parts on the front, we have changed the back to be a clear part as well to match the depiction in the show, so that the LED lights up can be seen on both the front and back.

The Blast Shot toy that was released at the time of broadcast had plated parts on the round part at the base where the grip moves and on the top of the body, but these will be changed to a silver paint job to match the props used in the show. Also, the color of the rotating part at the top of the grip differs between the toy and the prop, being silver and black, so this will also be changed to silver to match the prop.

About the transformation sounds
As you all probably know, the Evoltluster toy's transformation sounds are different from the ones in the movie. Of course, ULTRA REPLICA Evoltluster will have the same transformation sounds as in the movie. The sounds of transformation into Anphans, Jeunesse, Jeunesse Blue, and Ultraman Noa will be included.

The specifications for this product are not that you press a button and the transformation sounds play in sequence, but rather that you can recreate the transformations of the four Junamists in three modes: Himeya Jun mode, Senju Ren mode, Saijo Nagi mode, and Komon Kazuki mode. (Modes can be changed by pressing and holding the button on the right side of the back.)

In Himeya Jun mode, the Anfance transformation sound is activated when the handle is removed from the sheath, and with the sheath removed, pressing the button on the right side of the back activates the Junes transformation sound.
In Senjuren mode, the Anfance transformation sound is activated when the handle is removed from the sheath, and with the sheath removed, pressing the button on the right side of the back activates the Jeunesse Blue transformation sound.
In the Saijo Nagi mode, just like in the show, the only sound that will be used as a transformation is the Anfans sound, but the Anfans sound for Saijo Nagi mode will be the sound from the final episode, when black smoke-like things come out of the Evoltraster and she transforms into Anfans. (The faint sound of black smoke will also be recorded.)
In Komon Ikki mode, just like in the final episode, when you pull the handle out of the sheath the sound of the Enfants transformation will be activated, press the right button on the back once to activate the sound of the Junes transformation, press it twice to activate the sound of the Junes Blue transformation, and press it three times to activate the sound of Ultraman Noa transformation.
Himeya Jun mode and Senju Ren mode have two modes, one with a short time between when the sheath is drawn and the transformation sound being played, and one with a long time. You can recreate the scene where Himeya Jun transforms in a hurry.

About the transformation mode in the movie
We would like to explain the newly added in-game transformation mode.
During the transformation sequence, background music will play at the same timing as in the movie. (You can also choose to play background music at your own discretion. Of course, you can also listen to just the transformation sounds without the background music.)
We will now provide a detailed explanation of the transformation mode for Episode 2, "Space Beast," which is also listed on the pre-order page.

This is a memorable scene where you can see Himeya Jun's first transformation scene. Himeya Jun appears from behind the Space Beast, glances at the Evoltblaster, then pulls the handle out of the sheath, spins the Evoltblaster, transforms into Anphans, and lands on the ground. The background music that was playing when he pulls out the sheath and spins the Evoltblaster fades out, and new background music starts when he lands on the ground. As for the flow of the toy, after setting it to Himeya Jun mode, press the button on the left side of the back to start the background music. When you pull the handle out of the sheath, the background music fades out in the middle of the sound of the sheath being pulled out and swung up, the sound of the transformation starts, the sound of landing on the ground plays, and the background music starts at the end of the sound of landing on the ground.

We will continue to share with you more information on other transformation modes in the movie, sound effects that can be activated such as the sound when catching a beast vibration wave, and an explanation of the blast shot, as well as other aspects that we were unable to explain this time, so please look forward to it.

In addition, we will be exhibiting a prototype at the Ultraman Festival 2018 at Ikebukuro Sunshine City, which starts today, so we hope that anyone who has the opportunity to visit will take a look.

Today we will also be publishing an introduction to "GUT Hyper" as volume 2, so we hope you will take a look at that as well.
The continuation of "Evoltluster & Blast Shot" will be vol. 3, scheduled to be updated on Tuesday, July 31st.
